It's not 'overused'. High school romance visual novels are basically their own genre, so it'd be silly to say a school theme is overused in a high school romance. That's like saying 'fantasy worlds are so overused in fantasy stories'. People who don't like school themes just don't like the genre. I ...

The real visual novel pros have tons of co-writers. ^^ A few people writing one or two routes each, and sometimes assistants to go research things for them. So it definitely can work out if, like what was said above, you don't write with your friends and all writers take the job seriously.
