Re: Writing an organized script

I´ve been trying tons of text editors but I can´t find one that does what I want. I´d like something that lets me write and add labels and jump to links across documents. Pretty much like RenPy works, but purely text. Closest thing I´ve see is Google Docs, except it handles single documents only. Su...

Re: Art Software

Also recomending Manga Studio/Clip Studio Paint (same software with different name). I think I`ve tried everything out there and nothing comes close. DAZ Studio for 3D renders using premade characters and content. No artistic experience or extra equipment neded. FREE software, but using only free co...

Re: Cintiq 13hd tablet?

Yes, I mean tablets with a monitor. I'd think is better to see your work displayed big than working directly on a small size. But that's me.
When it comes to regular tablets I actually prefer small ones. I have a Bamboo Pen small. I switched to that after a week of having a big one I didn't liked.

Re: Cintiq 13hd tablet?

But, is it a good idea to use a small cintiq? I can see the advantage on a big one, but Isn`t it better to have a bigger workspace even if it means to use a regular tablet? I ask beacuse I tried the 13" Cintiq and it was fun, but the size didn´t felt "proffesional" or even convenient....

Re: Cintiq 13hd tablet?

With something under $3000 I’d buy a 27” iMac, an Intuos Pro Medium for home and an Intuos Pen Small for school. But if you really need a monitor for your portable tablet, then I guess you need the Cintiq. There are cheaper alternatives for graphic tablets with screen, but I dare not to reco...

Re: Greeny's Guide to Art Commissions

That's true.
I refused my second comic work and while the pay was great, it was something I was uncomfortable about. It's not nice, but I don't regret it.

Re: 3D CUSTOM GIRL - Thoughts?

I never use cell shading or sketch filters to retouch my renders, I just don’t like how it looks. If I want something to look drawn, I draw it. And when I’m doing 3D I certainly want it to look 3D. When using a better render engine people tend to mistake my renders with photos, which is not what I w...

Re: Greeny's Guide to Art Commissions

Something I’d like to read about is how others handle corrections or changes during the process. Some are pretty flexible, but others seem to expect constant changes. I try to cover as much as previous detail and description as possible and try to stay around 4/6 main stages of corrections, but usua...

Re: Not Sure if I Should Sketch W/Paper or the Computer?

Personally I draw ONLY on paper, the rest is always digital.
I don't ink either, its all color over the pencils. But that's just me.

Re: Artist for hire (free)

Thanks to the people who have contacted me so far. Unfortunately, I’m looking up to a more traditional visual novel game, because I’d like to gain more experience with the workflow for my own game. The responses I’ve had seem to separate a bit from that. Not a bad thing, but it’s not what I’d like t...

Re: Artist for hire (free)

Thanks! The real work would be in getting the right look with the content available or creating custom content for them, which I wouldn't get into for this. But the available content is huge. I assume around a day's work to get the character ready, some minutes to set up the lighting, a pair of minu...

Re: How Often Do You Draw?

Not that much, I concentrate on 3D renders, but once in a while, I go for it. Maybe 2/3 times a week, sometimes less.

Artist for hire (free)

Hi. I’m offering to create artwork for a relatively short game. :D I plan to do my own game eventually and would like to gain some experience with the involved workflow. I’m not offering 2D art, only 3D renders. Maybe a promotional 2D illustration when we're done, but not for the game itself. I'm of...
