That seemed to do the trick.
Thank you so much.

Re: [SOLVED] NVL Dialogue Transform only on incoming text?
That code doesn't work. But I may have put it in wrong. I put the init python block in script.rpy and what exactly am I replacing when I want to insert the code black that starts with global...my original code or Asceai's code. I've tried generally all combinations and the result is all the text at ...

Re: [SOLVED] NVL Dialogue Transform only on incoming text?
I ended up removing it because it didn't work well with the wait tags since they are technically on the same line. It just restarts the transformation. *sigh* But this is still good to know

NVL Dialogue Transform only on incoming text?
What I'm generally trying to achieve is a fade in and slide from the left affect. I've only done the fade in effect and I came across an issue. 1. I need the dialogue to start from alpha 0 to visible. Right now it shows the text at 1.0 alpha then drops back down to 0, so it looks like blinking inste...

Re: Distributing a commercial game?
I've heard good things about itch.io . It's free too and currently you get all the profit from your sales (apparently it's usually 10%). But of course, if you use paypal or other services to receive funds, they still get a cut. WRT Steam, it's not that easy to get on, so maybe Desura can be an alter...

Re: Websites and Content Management Systems
Tumblr, not much of a CMS but I've seen people do good things with it. Is MoveableType still around (and free)? IMO harder to customize than wordpress is, but also worth looking into. I was browsing around and found this cms called Koken , but it may or may not work for you depending on what kind of...

Re: Meal ideas?
If you want something fast, Pasta. Doesn't matter if its spaghetti or not. It's something that if you have no time you can do the bare minimum in 20 minutes. However if you want to be all fancy you can go all out. I usually make my own meatballs (turkey) and use fresh vegetables (onions, garlic, mus...

Re: Ideas Dump
I was looking all over for this thread in the Writing forum /o\. Whoops, sorry. But I deleted that thread and I'm copying it here. This idea isn't really formed because I figured out pretty quickly that I'm not going to do much with it. I do like it though: &&& Instead of going to a part...

Re: Worst anime you have ever watched?
Basilisk. Remember that was one of the anime that my anime club was playing years and years ago. Shit was wack. Thank god after the two episodes we suffered through we dropped it. I don't want to say that it was bad, because it started out very god but KareKano but it has to rank up there in biggest...

Re: Okay, I'm willing to try this again.
You've mentioned mental illness, and I think that you really need to deal with that first. Are you getting medication or therapy for your depression? Depression affects more than what you think. You call yourself lazy but that may be the depression keeping you from doing what you have to do. If you ...

Re: Everyone Kickstart Yo!
And I'm not gonna lie: When you've poured yourself into something - your time, your hard-earned money, your development experience, into a product you took the risk on yourself (freeware, commercial, whatever) and receive criticism (some fair, some unfair)... and then see people throwing large sums...

Re: Everyone Kickstart Yo!
Isn't 'psychological manipulation' just another way to say 'marketing'? I kid, sort of. Sure there are the extremes and some people are just lying or exaggerating (purposely or unawarely). For example, I've seen a video game kickstarter that claims some extra super cool special awesome feature...
