Re: Pause for click possible when showing images only?

Thank you! I'll try it.

I just put it where the pause would go, right? That's how I'll try it.

Thank you, it works great!

Pause for click possible when showing images only?

Hello again! I've been trying to figure this out on my own, but I've been searching a couple of days off and on and can't figure it out. I have a situation in my visual novel where I want several scenes in a row to only show images, no game text, but I want the user to be able to click to progress w...

Re: How to make a variable that can be passed to "next" game?

The French guy here wonders why "Ma'am", which looks like a common language contraction, is better than "Madam" ^^;... or "Miss" or whatever else for that matter. How would a butler talk about his Master and his wife? Madam is not used to address a woman in the United ...

I guess I'm wrong.

Re: Need help with title of a game

...So you're saying all the girls are "untamed"? Interesting... That makes it much more fun to break them, then! ] Would that mean the three girls pictured represent "easy", "medium" and "difficult" settings, in that order from left to right? I'd have to agre...

Re: Need help with title of a game

I think jack_norton means "Spirited" as in " spirited away ." Maybe the "Spirited Hearts" title is like some sort of metaphor on how people grow into adults, and their childhood tendencies disappear... Must... call... you... "jackie-boy"... but... do not... w...

Re: Ren'Py 6.7.1 Released

I have scanned with trend micro house call and sysclean and found nothing (separately, of course, not at the same time).
I scanned version d, which I downloaded last night.

Re: Need help with title of a game

Someone who is spirited in English means someone hard to control, like a spirited horse. It's a very romantic type of thing to call a girl. It means she's a spitfire (like, wild).

Re: Technique Question and one about images in text

Yes, that's right. I'm just including the image within the area that is hyperlinked just as you wrote it there.
Only the text hyperlink works, the image just is not included--if I click on it, it just progresses the game like a normal click on screen.

Re: Technique Question and one about images in text

Sounds like a pretty good method you have, there, actually. It reminds me kind of the way programmers denote versions.

Re: Technique Question and one about images in text

So basically, you make a new file for every major change? Like, as you said, new scene or chapter? That works for me; thank you for the reply. It makes sense to me, and that's what I'll probably do, then. Edit: Also your test is basically what I did. I'm guessing that I will need to know where the i...

Technique Question and one about images in text

I guess my title is kind of vague for this question, but I have a question about structuring the game from a programming standpoint. I notice the demo is comprised of many separate game files which get called through a menu by the user. When making a standard visual novel, how many separate game fil...

Two Text Questions

Hi again. I want to make the text type out slowly like some text games do, and I read the thread about changing config.default_text_cps to something not 0, but the document says "To have them run a second time, delete game/saves/persistent" and I can't find this folder. I tried saving a ga...
