Re: The curious xenophobia of the game engine
As best as I recall, nscripter doesn't have nearly as many features? I messed around with it back in my pitiful-fan-translation-hack days but I wouldn't try to write anything even slightly complicated in it. Kirikiri is a much better system but the barrier to entry is pretty high. From my experienc...

Re: The curious "xenophobia" of the game engine
Thank you for your replies, everyone! So it's mostly about community and discoverability, then. Makes perfect sense, since I think in many ways it's the community that defines the genre conventions and players' expectations of the games themselves. Also, I wanted to point out that I didn't mean &quo...

Re: Rat Happening (short mystery story)
Alright, seeing as there is no feedback, I finalized the game and released version 1.0. I wonder if there is a way to move this topic to Completed Games?

Re: RAPT problem
PyTom Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, deleting apache-ant didn't seem to do much, as I keep getting Error 5. However, I was able to get RAPT to install on Lubuntu, except I got some kind of error when trying to generate a key. So I reinstalled it and chose not to create a key; instead, I gener...
