Re: If Statement Help (using Points)

Thanks everyone, especially Suwamoto and PyTom; I fixed up my errors as they were pointed out and converted everything to Aggpoints so it works better. x3 Everything works!
I'll be sure to bookmark trooper6, and the automatic italics for narrator will be really helpful, saguaro.

If Statement Help (using Points)

I've been reading over various threads, but I haven't quite grasped this yet. In one of my games, subtle conversational differences will happen based on the number of points the character has in 'Aggression'. I first tried to do something where if the Aggression points were less than a value x happe...

Stopping Main Menu Music

Sorry for this beginner question, for all I know it has already been answered and I just didn't see it. Regardless, I'm having issues making my main menu music stopping once I click to play the game. I followed the way to add music in using the FAQ, editing the corresponding options part. I'm probab...

Re: Hotel Dusk and Last Window

I really liked Hotel Dusk, I played it right after Phoenix Wright and thought it was great. I certainly recommend it, it has a (mostly) western feel to it while being very visual novel-like, and with a cool non-bishie protagonist with a real personality. Last Window didn't hold my interest though, ...

Location: USA Website: We haven't set up an 'official' website yet, not until we finish our first game. We're mainly just experimenting at th...

Hotel Dusk and Last Window

Not sure if anyone else already posted about these two games, but they're about as visual novel-y as a game can get I think. The two games were made by a company named Cing; which now doesn't exist, sadly. They're both for the DS, Hotel Dusk came out in Japan, US, and Europe, while its sequel, Last ...

Re: The Forest Mystery (Demo) (Fantasy/Mystery)

Well, as I start to play the game, I find it a bit annoying that some parts do not have a period. The music is a little blaring too; but these are little nitpicky things. I'll continue playing it and see if can come up with anything more advice-worthy. I also noticed a grammatical error: "If yo...

Re: What makes you buy (indie) games?

Seeing as most of my games I buy are through Steam, I go by their description on there. I don't care much for graphics; with video games or VN's its always the characters and story I care most about in the end. The more unique it is, the better. (Which is probably why Hatoful Boyfriend has been on m...

Ability to use CTC and Slow Text

Perhaps this isn't possible, but I was really hoping it was; how does one use both a 'Click to Continue' button and a 'Slow' text command together? I know how to use them individually, but I want the game to both type out the words and show the ctc button.
