Re: Open hostility against JRPG or indie VN gamedevs

Death and rape threats are part and parcel for the life of a VN developer.

Re: VN for iOS...?

Tutorials showing the submit process can often be found with the ios compatible game engine you use. If you are an iOS developer, apple has its own tutorials. And I can't imagine Youtube not having its share.

And don't forget the Toon Boom range of products for animation. I've only used storyboard pro but I love it.

Re: Social Gaming

I dislike social gaming aspects as much as QTE. Letter boards or stat collecting being an exception. I enjoy seeing how bad I am or what percentage of users made this or that decisions. And I hate the 'more rewards' stuff. I don't expect a game to burn me for not having any friends. I have to go doo...

Re: Art critique and opinons

Whatever the style, the ears are incorrect and that is what I think people feel as odd. The faces without ears look much better. Work on ears and your work will get a powerful upgrade :)

Re: Wacom bamboo connect, good or bad?

Does anyone know which one of these two would be better? (also would be good to know if that circle drawing smoothness problem is known with my old tablet or if its software (tried with paint, sai and gimp2) or user related). You may need to upgrade your computer. Smoothing, or feathering, is a sof...

Re: Getting sick of Japanese names

There is no pleasing everyone. One must make the characters the way one want. Same with the location. Or else what is the point of being indie.

All this nitpicking is a moot point if the story is really good. And if it is bad, honestly, who cares what the names are.

Re: Religion... Yay or nay?

When I grew up, where I grew up, atheism was something worse then being black, homosexual, communist, and a woman. It was pure evil. There was no such thing as weak atheism. You had to be strong and learn to fight. Because of this banning of ideas, most religious individuals haven't been introduced ...

Re: Religion... Yay or nay?

Ah, Epicurus: Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? Firstly, let me point out that this has tell-tale s...

Re: Religion... Yay or nay?

“Myth is what we call other people's religion.” ― Joseph Campbell edit, sorry I was going to let it go but this -> "Atheists believe neither God nor gods exist. Religious people do. Although opposite, they are equally beliefs." is faulty logic. Logic is of some little importance to Atheist...
