Re: Reference preferences
I use DeviantArt to keep track of my art and make albums to show people. https://www.deviantart.com/ibitz I also use Pinterest to help with character creations/art albums, but prefer DA. I unfortunately don't have much artistic skill, so I don't really use dA anymore. Plus it wouldn't be for showca...

I'm not currently at the point where I'll be commissioning visual assets for a project, but I've been mulling over the possibility of making something like a Pinterest board for characters/settings/etc. I was wondering if that's something that would be useful for giving out when commissioning someon...

Settings - interestingly unusual or overly niche?
As my current project is looking to be set in a fantasy version of 18th century/pre-revolutionary Europe, I decided to make a quick check of the internet as market research of a sort. As I haven't found much in the way of games in that historical period, let alone with the fantasy element, I was won...

Re: HELP WANTED:Making a Sonic Visual Novel
I probably seem somewhat harsh, but what role will you be playing in the making of this game? You appear to be recruiting all the main players in creating a VN without indicating what you yourself will be doing. I would recommend starting work on this by yourself, then come back with a more concrete...

Re: Tips for writing a progress blog.
Ok, If you want to build something the best way is to see how they are built. You want to build a Game Dev Blog then google "Game Development blogs" and Try to do as they do. It sounds like cheating but in reality that is how it is done. There is usually a formula to fallow. Name of game,...

Re: Tips for writing a progress blog.
Thanks for the replies guys :D Every bit of advice helps. What I've seen people do about the game itself is the development of paths and characters. Things you possibly want to try and avoid might be things like major spoilers, you can throw out a couple samples here and there to try and grab people...

Tips for writing a progress blog.
Hi there. I'm currently working on my first Visual Novel and I'm thinking of setting up a blog to document my progress through the project. I was wondering whether anyone had any tips or preferences when it comes to this: are there certain elements of the game that you would like to hear more about ...

Re: Cucumber Princess [Otome] [Fantasy] (Nano 2013)
As I whined in the Nano'13 thread before officially starting - I have a habit of letting projects grow out of control very quickly. My apologies for anyone watching this thread and expecting me to know how to control myself or even what on earth I am doing. xD I do that too  I'm generally ove...

Re: Cucumber Princess [Otome] [Fantasy] (Nano 2013)
Thank you! :) Well, let's see - about the characters I've mentioned so far (and in about as much detail as I'm firm on)... Matcha - The heroine. Since I'm aiming to let the player decide her personality, she'll be fairly "open". You'd be able to make her comment in different "flavors...

Re: Your first ever video game.
The first game I ever remember playing was Duck Hunt on the NES. That and for some reason I remember an Olympics game on there that I used to play with my family. The first game I played that was actually mine was probably Pokemon Red. The sad thing about that is that I've had that game for nearly h...

Re: J-Fashion (Lolita, Gyaru, Fairy-kei, etc.)
I would love to get into Lolita more, but I think I might be a bit too boyish looking  I would love to try some Wa-Loli someday though. In terms of stuff I do wear, I have a 50s dress that I adore (and probably don't fit anymore now that I think about it). I'd have more vintage stuff if I had ...

Re: Cucumber Princess [Otome] [Fantasy] (Nano 2013)
This looks really cute I like what I've read thus far, although it would be nice to learn a little bit about some of the characters you've mentioned; not much just a flavour of what they're like.
