Re: How to custom bar ?
Check out the tutorial in my signature.
You don't need to use style.love_bar, all the styles applied are in the bar itself.

Re: Sweet Tooth
I didn't think that far, nor did I know of the mantra. I picked the theme because I was hungry xD But we could say that. And I could work that into the story, somehow :P

Re: I can't even design the most simple of stories. Help?
I disagree, somewhat, with Carassaurat, though not completely. Small things like favorite drinks of characters are irrelevant, but what is of great importance is character motive. You can 'drop' developed characters into settings not because you know what kind of pet they prefer, but because you've ...

Re: Article: Paths to Character Routes
@Kate: The question is, do you want to tell a story or do you want the player to discover their place in it? The answer to that question, I think, will help you decide if more work is worth the experience in the end. @Parataxis: In certain settings, the straight up "just pick who you're followi...

Re: Article: Paths to Character Routes
Ah, yes, but I was talking about character-specific routes, are those not usually for romance-based VNs? I'm merely noting my observations on how I've seen game developers lead into various routes (hence "paths to character routes"). I believe that I made it clear in the title, I'll revise...

Re: Article: Paths to Character Routes
I personally prefer Pursuit Type 1. It's a little more writing work, but a lot less thinking work, since stories can just branch off of a similar premise instead of being constrained to a single setting. At least for me, it not only leads to more believable romance, but also gives more freedom in st...

Article: Paths to Character Routes
Paths to Character Routes From my experience with visual novels in the genre of romance, games with multiple endings generally divide themselves into player-aware and player-unaware systems, the former being systems where the player consciously chooses who to pursue, and the latter being the player...

Sweet Tooth
http://i.xomf.com/jxhrb.png Download version 0.3: http://rpgmaker.net/games/4799 An alternate title was considered ( Sweet Tooth: Sugar Crush ) but then subsequently rejected as it was too similar to a certain mobile game. This is for a game jam, of sorts, that ends October 31st. Requirements? >10 ...

I think I've found something...
Code: Select all
FileLoad(1, page="quick", confirm=False, newest=False)
edit2: Yeah, I think this is solved.

[solved] Autosaves/Quicksaves in an imagemapped save/load
Say I had a load/save screen that looked like this: (Here's some pastries. Hope you're hungry c:) http://i.imgur.com/EbbyIfQ.png How would I go about adding either an autosave or a quicksave to that topmost slot? Of course, the only action possible in that particular slot is loading. I know how to s...

Re: Free Art request! (sprites)+ Free usuable sprites
No VN would be complete without a character of the opposite gender!
Seimi, would you be willing to draw a girl in your style to give the two guys a partner? :3
I have an idea of what she could possibly look like, but in the end it is up to you :D

Re: Sprite artist accepting requests [Free]
Yes, this is xD I want to help developers that have a script/story mostly ready, but still lack art, to release their game. So as long as your game meets the requirements: - fair chance of being released - less than 8 major characters and you can meet these: - you can describe the characters, or hav...
