Re: Last game you played?
Umineko Ougon Musou Kyoku Cross - the Umineko no Naku Koro ni 2v2 fighting game! Does anyone here play it? If you're a fan of the visual novels, fighting games, or both, then it's worth a look. While it's not the best fighting game ever, it's pretty solid and is still patched fairly regularly. It'd ...

Re: Post your photo
BTW... this is last photo I took before I uh... gained considerable weight... in all seriousness, I should get some exercise... (sorry for the grainy resolution... this is one of those unplanned photo shots to commemorate the time I finally managed to make a "perfect play" on DJ Max) DJ M...

Re: How do you make OP
If you're making a game with RenPy and are feeling particularly hardcore, you could script one using purely RenPy. It was already doable on even older versions with some creativity with alpha and liberal use of pauses, and I'd imagine this newfangled ATL probably makes the scripting (a little) clean...

Re: Metropolitan Blues - Released
Hi Taleweaver! I really enjoyed your Loyal Kinsman! :) I only found a windows version though which - well - does not use the full possibilities of ren'py as a cross system SDK. Which is a bit sad. But: I have been able to play the Loyal Kinsman on Linux with Wine! ( If you are unfamiliar to it: It'...

Re: RPG Shooter: Starwish
Actually, I've gotten Neferiti's ending. Her cafe conversations only occur on hard mode and will appear after just about every stage at The End of Time. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what other conditions need to be fulfilled aside from cafe conversations. Johnny does mention stats and personality du...

Re: RPG Shooter: Starwish
Starwish is pretty nice, and I liked it quite a bit - spent most of yesterday playing through it on normal and hard and got most of the endings. Conveniently, you choose the ending you want at the end (provided that you've already fulfilled the necessary conditions throughout the game), so you can r...

I agree with sake-bento wholeheartedly. More people ought to read this post before responding to completed works, WIP, etc.

IIRC, I think TeamBG's "MIA" uses the latter. You can see it in action here:

Re: NaNoRenO 2009
Question: Would place-holder graphics/borrowed graphics be acceptable by the end of the month to count as a completed game? Well, basically, your game has to be finished, meaning all media (graphics, sounds, script) are made by you (or your circle if you have one). Placeholders mean your game isn't...

Re: WIPs with huge lists of character details
Hehe, you've beaten me to the punch in creating this thread, Papillon. :P I have some beef with WIPs with large character detail lists. Unfortunately, my ire extends beyond them and into the formulaic list format taken by the threads in general: [Brief Teaser] [Brief Summary] [Characters] [Features]...

Many thanks for playing and for your comments, Fox! It's good to hear that you got some degree of enjoyment from it in spite of its glaring shortcomings. Since you probably aren't too interested in excuses, let's move on to the more interesting part - the expectation you had for the game is r...

Re: Error: "Required integer?"
The percent sign is what's throwing it off. Since RenPy uses them as 'indicators' to insert variables into the text (i.e. %(variable_name)s ), it's expecting something in that format. To display a percent sign normally, you'll need to double it up: "After all, 80%% of the Reato tourist industry...
