Re: if!girl [GxB][Slice of Life][Dramedy][Demo!]
Some notable updates: I now have a wonderful artist doing some CGs for me, which should really make the game work better. :) I've also polished up the interface a bit as suggested, and redrafted the first scene a bit - though it's still bugging me a tad. I've added music, as well, and a phone system...

Re: Looking for web designer.
Yeah, I'd agree that you need to spill some more detail there. I do web design, and I might be interested, but at the moment I have no idea whether I can do what you're asking or not, and I don't like leaping into discussions blind. Nor do a lot of people. <3 Best of luck.

Re: Game stops moving on when messaging system is implemente
"background None"? Or use an imagemap statement instead of a button? (I'm assuming you're talking about the background of the button.) Yeah, I've tried that, but no matter how many guides I read I can't for the life of me work out /where/ I'm supposed to put that. In the main file after &...

Re: Game stops moving on when messaging system is implemente
If you're using an image big enough to cover the whole screen, the button will cover the whole screen... Derp, yeah, I worked that out after I posted it. (*facepalm* This is why I shouldn't code late at night.) Thank you so much for your help in this. I really appreciate it. <3 (Now I'm just trying...

Re: Game stops moving on when messaging system is implemente
Hey, thanks so much, that's solved my error problem - but I'm not convinced your advice about using a screen instead of an imagemap was correct, because now the screen shows up if I click anywhere on the screen...

Re: Game stops moving on when messaging system is implemente
Thank you for the info, but I'm now getting a different error. :( I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred. While running game code: File "game/script.rpy", line 138, in script ScriptError: could not find label 'do_show_messages'. -- Full Traceback ------------------------------------...

[SOLVED] messaging system issues
Hi, I've been using this messaging system in my visual novel to create a process where the player can check their phone for messages. I coped the text as directed into a file named messages.rpy in the game directory. I've then altered the code so that the trigger for viewing the messages is clicking...

Re: "Press X to not Die"- Opinions on Quick Time Events
I find QT events extremely frustrating in VNs as I tend to stop playing and look at other things a lot. In other games, I'm not fond either, but they'd be a huge turn off for me in a VN personally. However, what you're describing sounds interesting. Idk if it's worth it tho.

Re: if!girl [GxB][Slice of Life][Dramedy][Demo!]
I played the demo. It was more like a teaser, but whatever. Feedback time! I liked the flashbacks; they were nicely done. The one that told the MC that the guy would write his phone number on "The Wasteland" was a little confusing, though. Maybe the CG should show him writing numbers inst...

Re: if!girl [GxB][Slice of Life][Dramedy][Demo!]
Generally the demo is too short to have much of an opinion. Like I feel too much is said about her friend for her only to say bye and go home, but then she should be more important for the story later. The calm and rational type is not really the one you (oh, well, at least I) take a liking to inst...

Re: if!girl [Slice of Life w/ fantasy elements][Dramedy][Dem
Added the demo to the post instead of an external site, so hopefully people can download it now. :]
