Re: Ren'Py 6.3.2 Released

Hey, Tom - Just wanted to say that it's great that you are still working on and updating the Ren'Py project! Been out of the loop for a while, and it's great to look up Ren'Py months (and months) later and find out that not only is it still around, but there's a lot of new stuff and a ton of catchin...

Just wanted to pop in and wish all NNRO participants the best of luck. Unless I have a drastic change of heart, I won't be participating this year, due to a backlog of other projects I really should keep focused on, but I hope everyone who participates has fun and gets a lot out of it. Minna, ganbat...

No promises, of course, but I think I might give it a go, provided I can get up to speed with all of the new Ren'Py features (or use an alternate method). I just have to, for ONCE, keep it small and manageable. The thing about new Ren'Py features is that they shouldn't really matter to game-makers,...

Very ambitious and original plot for a ren'ai/story game. I see it done in a classical, slightly orange/sepia-toned art style with more realistic-looking anime-style characters, the screen graphics displayed within an ornate "picture frame" border on top, and the words in a separate box be...

Is the Korean version (PC) out yet? Oddly enough, Play-Asia claims to be shipping the Limited Edition (they posted the status and price two weeks ago), while the release date for the Japanese version (PS2) is still tba. http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-7s-77-9-15-princess%2Bmaker-70-m03.html It ...

Actually, what triggers the event at the house isn't getting the dragon tights. When you enter the lair you meet a young dragon. If you chose to pay the $200 he asks for nothing happens at the house. However, if you fight the dragon and win, as she grows older - I'm not sure how long it takes after...

There should be a name for projects that fail because of World of Warcraft. WoWitis, maybe. Such a project might be called a "PoWoW": Prey of World of Warcraft ...or the more gramatically accurate: Prisoner of World of Warcraft P.W. ( not P.W.oWoW) P.S. - Sorry to hear about the project, ...

Ok. Now, out of curiosity, what if I wanted to sell my game? Okay... at the risk of re-stating much of what has already been said, I am going to do my very best to address your concerns regarding copyright and trademark infringement, as they are two areas I have dealt with quite a bit. (Warning: th...

nope. I don't watch them at all Um... actually, that is Boonga Boonga... same game. Plastic index finger, posterior, etc. (see link for details) if that's so...then one of two things is true: A)there are two different versions B)EGM is not 100% correct (or Syberpunk isn't 100% correct) I say this b...

no, but I do recall reading about a similar game in EGM one time... the point of it (which isn't really a point) is to ram this big plastic hand with an extended index finger (the one between the "FU" finger and the hitchhiking "finger", AKA the thumb) as hard as you can into th...

Nope. And, hopefully, I won't ever have occasion to find out. ^^

The person below me has actually seen (in person) or even played the disturbingly bizarre Japanese arcade game Boonga Boonga.

Gorram it! I did it again. I clicked "edit" when I should have clicked "quote". So that last post is really my response to PW's post, which is now lost. We apologize for the inconvenience. All of the important info from my post is still there, and the response was exactly what I...

Re: splashscreen

You're right, you do... and now that I read MMZ's description a little more closely, it's not really a breakout of function arguments, but rather a reference for alterable properties of various elements. For example, a list of all attributes and properties in a renpy.frame object that can be altere...

Re: splashscreen

Agh... forgot to log in. Anyway, adding to that, one thing I'd like to see (eventually) is a comprehensive Ren'Py Object Model, covering all of the objects and attributes. The manual already does this to a certain extent, but it could be taken to the next level. I'm not sure what you mean by this.....

Interestingly enough, the second time was when I raised her up almost entirely as a farmer and a battler. I went into the wild almost every month for two years, and I had her constitution, combat attack, and magic stuff at their maximum. I just had her do a little bit of housework and some decor cl...
