Re: Writing a murder case?
While I too would have to question why a high schooler has to solve the murder case, I can roll with it. This comes with the territory. As for motive, given the scenario, rich kids + relationship drama, my immediate thinking is that it was kind of an accident. Maybe Lissa isn't the most well adjuste...

Re: Career-choices for cool male characters?
Law degrees can get you pretty much anywhere you want really except other professions with major school time required, such as medicine. Large corporation seems to fit your position climbing necessity the best. For the other guy, you could make him an undertaker/funeral home director. That's one of ...

Re: What is your favorite writing tips ?
1.) After you write something, wait a whole day before looking at it again. You'll find all sorts of flaws and things that you want to change that you might notice after you've been focused just writing for a long time. Much like this, never trust something written past midnight. Nothing good happe...

Re: Public Domain Plays as Kinetic Novel?
Thanks for the replies. I was thinking about looping some of my friends into putting together a KN of "The Importance of Being Ernest." I had to read it in English at the tail end of my senior year and it was by far my favorite book I'd read all four years of high school.

Public Domain Plays as Kinetic Novel?
I was curious as to whether or not anyone has tried this? It seems like it would be an easy way to tell a story since the script could basically be premade. I think of something like Shakespeare plays or the like could even be simi-educational. I know I had to read Romeo & Juliet, Julius Ceaser,...

Re: What was your first story?
The first story I can think of writing was back in 4th grade when my class started doing this program where we actually took time out of teaching curricular stuff and focused on writing stories and stuff. (Sadly, the program disappeared after 4th grade since there was no state writing test again unt...

Re: How do you write a story?
I'm no expert, but I think Twine could be a good tool for you. I look at is as something of a slimmed down version of renpy. You can look at it as giving you the bare bones of your story, that way you can get a "bird's eye view" of how things go and how the paths travel and intertwine and ...

Re: New Writer
Yeah, probably just be easier to put up what I have here than expect people to come to me. Sorry about that! The premise is that a guy, named Alex, goes to a prestigious academy for the arts. (Here meaning art, music, writing, drama, etc...) He starts out his time there as a piano playing prodigy, b...

New Writer
Hey guys! I've been writing stuff online for a little while now, but just recently started on my first vn. I have a premise down and have written out the first part of text, but I would like to get some outside opinions on things as I'm going along. Someone to critique or advise would be greatly app...
