Re: How to change the music that plays on the main menu?
Maybe you could use a variable in place of the song $ persistent.main_menu_music = "music/main_menu1.ogg" define config.main_menu_music = [persistent.main_menu_music] Then change the persistent variable when the player reaches an ending with label ending_1: $ persistent.main_menu_music = &...

Re: Audio Volume Change On Screens
I did research, but still kept getting stuck. After focusing on other things and letting it ruminate in the back of my mind, I finally figured out that I didn't need a True/False statement or a numerical variable(another thing I tried). All I needed to use was: label position_left_out: $ x_position ...

Re: Audio Volume Change On Screens
I changed the labels up. It didn't take much effort at all. This is what I used to use. When a person clicks to show the next screen, it would also take them to one of these labels; label position_left: $ x_position = 0.0 $ y_position = 1.0 $ ui.interact() label position_right: $ x_position = 1.0 $ ...

Re: Audio Volume Change On Screens
You could probably just create a true or false variable and every time you enter the lighthouse it sets it to true and before the end of the scene or whatever it sets it to false and whenever it is true then the music volume equals this etc. Though maybe someone knows a better solution. You could a...

Re: Heart of the Ocean (Mystery/Point-And-Click/VN)[Demo]
I've been working on some slightly animated CGs and they actually turned out somewhat decent so far. I also fixed up some background images and sound effects and added sections of dialogue.

Re: Heart of the Ocean (Mystery/Point-And-Click/VN)[Demo]
:o I thought this topic was dead by now. I'm glad I logged on when I did. Pretty funny! Good luck Thank you! I'm hoping there's enough humor to keep it from being too serious. I adore mystery and point and click games so this is way too awesome for me to not comment on. I'm sorry that you've had dif...

Audio Volume Change On Screens
I've gotten myself into a conundrum. My game consists of multiple point-and-click screens that display the town in which the characters live. Some of the screens display an outdoor background but some display an indoor background. I finally got around to editing a rain sound effect to play on the da...

Re: Heart of the Ocean (Mystery/Point-And-Click/VN)[Demo]
Even if it's never released, I've been learning a lot about game design through this experience. It's still my goal to complete and release this game. Even if no one plays it, I'd like to see it released just to remind myself that I didn't give up no matter how bad things got. It's been slow-going,...

Re: Heart of the Ocean (Mystery/Point-And-Click/VN)[Demo]
I'm still here! I'm just having internet and computer trouble as always! I'm still making progress on this game, but it's kind of slow-going. It might be a while, but I have faith that I'll complete it someday.
(PS. It's been so long that I've even started writing a sequel story. >.>)

Re: Minigame Suggestions?
Thank you so much, Delta m.m! This would have worked really well, but the game this idea was planned for has been canceled. I actually did end up doing something similar in my current project though and these topics did help. Also, I'm sorry about taking so long to reply. I don't exactly have the be...

Re: [Demo!] Human Reignition Project [Kickstarter] [Sci-Fi]
I love this game's story and concept! The characters are amazingly designed, and I don't just mean the gorgeous character sprites. Their personalities and backstories (or at least what I understand from their descriptions) are really well thought out and relate-able. I'll probably download the demo ...

Re: My first Ren'Py
Wow, you're good! I love the old, worn frame around the edge of the menus. It's a simple design but it sets the atmosphere for a story that takes place in the past. (Or at least that's when I assume it takes place) Also, I like the subtle button press sound. Something like that wouldn't clash with a...
