Re: Ninonon's Art Dump + Requests [Feedback welcome!]
Welcome, Looking at your work, I think your line art is pretty good, at the very least better than mine and there is no questioning that lol, but more than that I like how the sketches look but can't see them well as they are small same goes for your shaded works the size of the colored works is so ...

Re: When should you charge money for a visual novel?
I think if you have made your game thinking it is gonna be free, the let it remain free if you want to get money out of it, put artworks and music as purchasable items, having a 30 min paid DLC for a game that is 14hrs long is like an insult IMHO. by doing what I suggested you are not pushing anyone...

Re: VN's for smartphones: Portrait or Landscape?
I think both are fine to be honest, they are both comfortable on phone and I dont think anyone would mind either of those, but allow me to look at it this way, what if it is a hit on the phone and you decied that now you want a pc port? if it is on landscape the it is gonna be supper easy to port ri...

Re: How do I tell someone that I would like them off of my project?
To sort of branch off this topic.... In a situation where you have an agreement to partner with somebody, but they are not contributing any work towards the project, completely ghost you for months/years and just plain never check back in.... Is there any circumstance where you would owe this perso...

Re: How do I tell someone that I would like them off of my project?
hey, there are two things I can mention, 1. try to make them know that what they are doing is not what you want as early as possible, don't wait till it is finished! if you let them know earlier, they just don't waste as much time, also if they end up editing it it is much easier before the whole th...

It has been a while, I have dropped 2 works so far, couldn't bother finishing them, I sometimes just want to draw something new... maybe I can go back to them someday, but for now, I'm just uploading a wip, would be helpful to know if the anatomy is ok, also any other tips would be well appreciated!

Re: Does using Ren'Py mean I have experience with Python?
People here are terribly pessimistic in my view. It's true that making a simple game in Ren'Py does not make you a Python programmer, but if you went a little beyond the standard, then you've probably had more than a taste of Python, and it would be very familiar to you and very easy to learn. Why ...

Re: My artist is being stubborn about software. Suggestions?
well, It is not that enjoyable to move from one platform to the other, even if the other one is better. this could actually result in reduced art quality and slower work progression. If she is not interested in trying a new platform I'd suggest to not push it, even if you hire a professional artist ...
