So the midi situation won't actually get this much better, will it? What happened to the plans to convert them to mods (not that I have ever used those), or, for that matter, anything else on the fly? It irks me that there is a file format where music takes up 15KB instead of 1Meg, but no sensible ...

Yeh, I can see what you mean. I'm trying to decide whether to make the changes more minor and continuous, or more major and discreet. Maybe even both (the diary piece using the former, the character interaction/event ones the latter). But I guess we won't know until we try :P. Icekiss, the two piece...

Alright, I played the demo, and here's what I've brainstormed in correlating the stats to the music. Ethic: Used for the main body of the piece Brooding<----Mischevious----Vanilla----Light-hearted---->Angelic (Where Vanilla = 50) Intelligence: Used for the transitional sections of the piece Simple <...

I read up what I could about Ren'Py's music support. There currently seems to be a limitation to one music (=non-wav) track playing at once, so it's not possible right now. But PyTom has promised to rewrite the sound library: Unfortunately, the current sound library only supports playing one sound ...

Bump what? You did more asianesque stuff ? ^^ Heh. If you want some more, I'll be glad to try. I think he means bump as in bumping the thread up to remind folks that his services are still available. 'Course, he could have hit his head... ;) Great, now I'm probably jinxed. Ooh, your service...

Alright, I guess it wouldn't spoil much (it's only a rough sketch, after all) - here's the link.

Hmm, I'm actually not that familar with medieval music, let alone japanese medieval music. But are you referring to really authentic Japanese music, or the exotic/stereotypical stylings used for movies/anime/etc? I believe many traditional asian musics use a more microtonal scale (aside from the pen...

Hmm, I guess that depends on the length and complexity of the piece. I can finish a simple 1~2 minute piece in a day or two, though longer ones or ones with thicker instrumentation may take up to an week to polish off. I can also record it in audio in most of the standard compressions (mp3, ogg, wav...

Well, I guess you can use the pre-exisiting tracks I have, but some of them were made for other specifically for other games (ie, any of the midis in the DK or Projects folders, and their corresponding mp3s); I'd prefer if you'd not use these - besides, the point of this thread is for me to write so...

This was definitely one of the more interesting plots I've yet to play through. The characters were really well fleshed out for such a short piece, and the psychological element was pretty well played out (it would've been nice if you'd included an ending that did involve Takeshi being involved in t...

Offering BGM services
Hey, I've been lurking these forums for a while, but haven't joined until now. I've tried many of these games, and often found them to be a nice diversions and such. Anyways, I'm here to offer my services in composing some BG music for these games; I'm working on a major project right now, but it co...
