[OPEN] Large-scale RPG project
Greetings, I am back after a couple years to propose the same offers from my previous thread (found here: https://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=55439 ). I'm looking to network and formulate a team of passionate individuals interested in developing their skills and experiencing i...

Re: Pink Engine: A framework for using Tiled-created orthogonal maps in Ren'py
However, when I get to the line where you open the target map, I get an error saying no JSON object could be decoded, and that's it? Hrm, that's an error that would be thrown if there's a syntax issue with one of the .json files. Since the map and tileset .json files are generated in Tiled, the cul...

Re: Pink Engine: A framework for using Tiled-created orthogonal maps in Ren'py
Hello, thanks for the great work. I've been messing around to try and get a feel for how this works; I have all my files (map/tileset/sprites) setup as per the program. However, when I get to the line where you open the target map, I get an error saying no JSON object could be decoded, and that's it?

Re: Artificial (wip) looking for a team.
Bumping this thread as the project is always alive, just slowly progressing. I've been busy with work and some writer's block so I'm still stuck on writing episode 2. Should be done in about a month or so in time, as episodes 0 and 1 are complete. I have one person on board sketching up some concept...

Artificial (wip) looking for a team.
H ello Lemma boards! My name is Jake, a long time Renpy user. I've played around with the engine for years, and am now finally starting my official first-project with it. At the moment, I'm handling pre-production matters; I'm writing the overview, the episodes/chapter scripts (finished 0, almost do...

Re: RPG Overworld Engine
I do have a question regarding roof tiles. Are character sprites enabled to move through them? As in, behind them? I set one of my buildings to utilize the roof, but it still has collision as if it were a normal object, which is causing problems for making a city-themed map. Any enlightening would b...

Re: RPG Overworld Engine
Of course I figured it out as soon as I posted my question. For anyone who wants to know, here's how the map layout gets drawn: 1)Tiles get defined. Define your tiles with their signifier (used in the actual matrices that draw the map), file source path (minus the extension, currently it uses .png a...

Re: RPG Overworld Engine
Hello! This script is great, and the examples in the source are pretty easy to follow with. The only thing I'm trying to find out, is how are buildings being specifically placed? I'm wanting to try and write around this script to handle multiple maps, and make different areas using custom tiles and ...

Re: Affection Points
I know this post is really old, but if I have 7 guys that the player can go after (I know that's a lot of guys but I have my reasons haha), do I still have to list every effect that the choice will have on each of the guys, even if it doesn't affect most of them? Like only one of them will get + af...

Re: WAGAKKIWA![Drama,SliceofLife,Romance] UPDATED
How do you export sprites with comipo? Can you export backgrounds? Sorry, probably not the right place to ask this. I'm new to designing games and can't draw T_T Your game looks awesome, by the way. The confidence and mailbox system sound interesting. Thats fine, I don't mind helping. I don't remem...

Re: Basic Message System
Does this go in the messages part or in the script? It goes in the messages.rpy file. Look where I commented out the old code in the snippets I shared - that's where you should paste it at. Another question with the post you put using the phone as the alert for the new messages does it also go in t...

Re: WAGAKKIWA![Drama,SliceofLife,Romance] UPDATED
Hey there. Yeah, I've mentioned plenty of times the sprites are from ComiPo, due to lack of artist skill and equipment. However that is mentioned everywhere the game is discussed. I'm pretty sure I've been honest so far about it. Re main character doing a peace sign, I don't see why it'd drive some...

Yeah, I noticed that. The list never got a change, when I can get to my computer again I'll change it
