Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...
Ouch. You guys are coming down with some serious stuff. Then again, I think I might be getting sick myself, as lately I have woken up with a very stuffy nose that basically forces me to blow out a gallon of blood and coughing at the same time. Thank goodness I have the weekend to recover from it, th...

Re: How do you deal with depression and art block?
Depression sucks. It really does. I've been dealing with it for the past two or three years. If this is the case, then I just put on Soul Calibur 5 and watch the CPU characters beat on each other. It's always fun to watch them and hedge your bets on who you think is going to win that particular figh...

Re: Trouble with Lemmasoft Forums
I can safely say that I have not encountered this problem. However, I will add on something that has been irritating me about this forum, and that's the "Log me in automatically each time I visit" function, and it doesn't seem to want to work half the time. Example, I'll log in on Sunday, ...

What makes a community? (was:Here's Something that might...)
A community, by definition, is a group of centric people with a unified locality, common background, or common history (as provided by Merriam-Webster and a few tweaks of my own personal thoughts). Now, before I came here, I used to browse a particular site. It's pretty much become my Internet home....

Re: The Favourite Character Who Always Dies
Clannad After Story Ushio... Just... Ushio no ;_; She didn't really die, though, at the end of the anime. It was depicted as her dying, but it also gave the MC (name slips me at the moment) the second chance he deserved, which after going through again, reliving all of the events he just saw, and g...

Re: What do you hate about yourself?
Prepare for a whole list of negative qualities about me. Having no commitment for anything. Relationships, music making, just in general having a lack of commitment. The fact I can't live up to the standards set by my peers. My constant depression. Actually, I don't mind that as much as the wild moo...

Re: What is your type?
I also am not a big fan of all the "dere" characters, and the way they are caricatured in media. Only very rarely would I ever even remotely talk to someone of that emotional state just as a way to help them out and see what is really going on in their screwed up mind, but chances are they...

Re: Music Creation~ Where Do You Start When Composing?
Why would I find something like making music "fun"? I'm in it for the business ethic, otherwise what's the point? And I'm probably going to get the comment "that sounds miserable" and what not, but honestly, that's just the way the world works.

Re: Music Creation~ Where Do You Start When Composing?
I give. I am willing to concede this argument after you said that you were a Professor at an esteemed music society. So please forgive my rudeness and arrogance. You have actually taught me about a few new things concerning the history of music. And I shall also admit that some of my remarks were no...

Re: Music Creation~ Where Do You Start When Composing?
*snip* Firstly, the thing that you should realize, and in fact everyone should realize, is that every one has a different work process. There is no one right way to compose, or do anything. The important thing is find out what works for each person as an individual. This was merely a statement refl...

Re: Music Creation~ Where Do You Start When Composing?
Firstly, the thing you should realize, and in fact everyone should realize, is that you should be writing during the day when you are most alert. After you've had a nice warm cup of coffee to get the caffeine going. Right after that long walk in the morning with the sun blazing in your eyes and on y...

Composer for Hire
Hello, my name is Arin the Eloquent and I'm a three-year composer of a different variety of tracks, ranging from various VGM music to instrumental pieces to even symphonic pieces broken into several arrangements. I was referred to this site by a colleague of mine saying that this would be a good pla...
