Re: celestial under ground [kn] [romance] [mystery] [healing

Guys, thank you so much for posting! I'll be posting some sprite pics soon! So happy you guys posted your thoughts on it. I like the idea of switching between characters' points of view. I am also liking the dark, tragic world that you are creating. The story seems inspiring and adventurous. One thi...

celestial under ground [kn] [romance] [mystery] [healing]

http://thatjaiguy.com/celestialunderground/z1.png When humanity's greatest soldier disappears on the eve of battle, he and a girl dressed in a simple raincoat must help each other as they try to escape from below the Break Line, the border that separates the living from the abyss. CELESTIAL UNDERGR...

Re: ketskari's art

I dig the style a lot. The perspective in the picture might be out a little--it's hard to say though, something about the castle strikes me as off.

I'd really like to see more though!

Re: Older characters as romance options

As long as the art and writing is appealing, I don't see the problem. It's weird though, I can't really think of any visual novels I'd read that featured an older cast like that, at least in a romantic VN.

Re: Anyone Have Experience With Articy:Draft Game Planning S

Seemed extremely powerful, and if I was doing a huge, elaborate project I might look into it, but it definitely seemed to be geared more towards collaborative projects.

I'm pretty sure they offer a free trial if you just want to try it out.

Re: To Commercial or Not To Commercial?

From a buyer's perspective, all of the commercial VNs I've purchased have been ones with incredibly high polish. Length, to me, is less important--I guess this is a side effect of never having come across a particularly long EVN, at least compared to the epics that exist out of Japan (FSN, Umineko, ...

Re: Blissful Kisses [GxB] [Otome, Romance, Slice of life]

I like what I'm hearing so far! For some reason the idea of a Gintama-influenced VN really appeals to me.

I look forward to seeing/hearing more. Even if it's just a real small bit, show us some characters!

Re: Favourite Apps for iPhone/Android?

I use MangaStorm on my ipad to read manga scanlations. I think it's awesome! Higurashi and Planetarian are also downloadable for iOS (I'm surprised how many people don't realise this). Splashtop Desktop is also an amazing remote control app for the PC--the protocol it uses is unique, and allows anim...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

As for myself, not much to get off my chest at the moment. I'm looking at buying my first house, and imagining all the awesome things I could do with the extra rooms. I really want my own space--somewhere to close out the rest of the world and retreat to, if you know what I mean.

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

Over the last few weeks, I've been hearing strange noises and whispers around my house. I've also been seeing things (very difficult to explain). I'm torn between thinking that I'm going mad or I really am hearing and seeing something! Which is the lesser of two evils? Hmm. That's a little strange!...

Re: What dead project do you think have potential...

Hey, that's the one! Glad to see someone else knows about it. I figured those were the issues that might have stopped it in its tracks. It's a shame--like I said, I thought the idea was great, what was executed was pretty good, and certainly from what I saw, he really nailed character personalities ...

Re: What dead project do you think have potential...

I'm ashamed to say that the name escapes me at the moment, but there's an Angel Beats game floating around here somewhere that basically follows the story of the show but from an original character's perspective, basically looking in on canon events from a new point of view. At least, that was its i...

Re: What VN are you currently playing?

I downloaded the demo of Shira Oka - Second Chances last night and giving that a whirl. Most recently finished was Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shojo. Highly recommended if you haven't played it already. Feels like a diamond in the rough to me because I don't see it talked about often. Awesome protag...

Re: How do you deal with depression and art block?

I find watching inspiring artists on Youtube usually cures my art blocks. Sleeping and taking a break also helps to prevent me burning out. Sometimes it's best to just get your mind off art entirely. Dealing with depression I have less experience with. There are a lot of "general" guidelin...
