I'm so happy for you (and everyone on the team), downloading right now!
(I took mandarin like... once in primary school, yeah it's not an experience any parent would like to talk about.)

Re: Have any of you found any good results out of appreciati
I find that after I started openly saying that I like something when I do and appreciating it more, it makes me feel... happy? I suppose, it feels good to know that you've made someone day or at least make someone feel good about whatever it is they're doing. It's a hard feeling to express. I don't ...

Re: What are you listening to while you write?
Anything I like. Mostly pop music (Uptown Funk's infinite loop plays loudly in the BG) and fanmix stuff. KPop too, lately I've been listening to a lot of Royal Pirates' stuff. Vitamin String Quartet's covers of pop music when I need a more mellow mood to settle into. Lady Gaga's piano/acoustic/live ...

Re: What Are Some Common Visual Novel Clichés?
Well, cliches are basically tropes which are used in such a typical way that it's predictable and boring. Tropes are nice, cliches are not. I don't think I've seen enough cliches to talk about VNs, I've seen tropes though. These aren't exactly tropes, just things I find common and dislike in stories...

I only played James' route so far but... all I've got to say on this game is: OHHHHH MY GODDDDD, OHHHHH MY GODDDD. (Read: I love it.)

Re: Sprite artist for hire!
Hello! My first thought when I saw your art was, 'Wow, this really reminds me of TWEWY!'. And then I read your description and found out that you were heavily inspired by Tetsuya Nomura. I'm a huge fan of TWEWY's thick/impressionable lines, I hope others are too. Good luck, hope you get recruited so...

Re: Minyan's art thread >(logo critique requested!)<
I'm not sure if my critique really counts as critique because I have zero experience in designing logos aside from class assignments I take like 10 minutes to do on Inkscape. But, the font for 'circus' makes it hard to read. I'm not sure if it's me, but it's hard to read. Maybe it's the clutter from...

Re: Trying to improve! Feedback is appreciated!
I'm not CSV, but I do know how to do shading with pencil! Although I've only done this with pencils and not colour pencils. You crosshatch. Basically what you do is, you shade lightly (important: move pencil back and forth in one direction only) through the whole area in which you wish to shade. Tha...

Re: Good Endings without the 'Good' part?
Yeah, I think what happens in the endings matter. You can doll up a piece of writing as much as you can, but it won't matter how well the message is written if the message itself is completely lackluster. It's not good if a story is great, but the writing is not and it's not good if the writing is g...

Re: Good Endings without the 'Good' part?
@Vogue Thank you for sharing your views! I definitely agree, an engaging plot and characters you can care about are very important. Endings that tie everything up are ideal and doing them in a different way is probably a plus too, even though it's rarely pulled off (I've only actually seen one 'unco...

Re: n0tgin's art thread
@Ernestalice15 Thank you for your comment, I will keep practicing! More drawings, only the first one is new and the everything after it is from a few months ago, but nevertheless, it is something I can do, so I might as well put them here. I don't really dislike them, so why not? Yes, it's everythin...

Good Endings without the 'Good' part?
Hi guys. OK so, a few months ago I read some translations of Black Wolves Saga: Bloody Nightmare and in one of the good endings, the protag doesn't end up with the character being pursued (actually, he murders her, but that's not too relevant). That got me wondering if anyone actually likes endings ...
