Re: Hiring composer for your game?
There are a few ways about hiring a Composer for you work. Many Composers here pay per piece to the minute. For example £4 for a one minute track and £6 for a two minute track etc. Then they may add a charge for editing the track. In a way this is a setup safer for the Composer since they will be pa...

Re: Musician and SFX person needed(Paid)
Yes, some were mixed and molded from existing sounds from libraries. Others were recorded and layered.

Re: Musician and SFX person needed(Paid)
Hey there Eileen, I'd like to look at applying for doing the sound design. I get pretty geeky over molding and shaping new sounds. These are some examples of my entry level work doing a english degree for a Creative Sound Design course. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGFqL6N70PU&list=UUMYU67MCM...

Re: Have chords, wrote melody, sounds atrocious
As for my personal input regarding melody, you could try looking at the Pentatonic scale if you haven't already. For those who don't know here's a brief description. The Pentatonic scale consists of fives notes within a scale. In Major keys it is the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th notes. So imagine the ...

Re: Making some money with a commercial VN - is it possible?
You'll need to start from the ground up, it's unlikely your first or second game will sell. You'll probably need to earn more than 600 euros if you're talking professionally, unless you make the entire game yourself, market and sell it solo. If not, you have to think about payment for those who have...

Re: Music Questions: Terminology, Instruments, etc...
And I have a question as well: Q: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R556aPGs6iY Working'!! OP-ED Single: Itsumo no you ni LOVE&PEACE!! How would one generate that funky guitar sound in 0:23? A phaser effect? Thanks! Well if there is a phaser it is very subtle, bearing in mind the electric guitar ...

Re: Music Questions: Terminology, Instruments, etc...
Personally I'd like to say they are Synthesized instruments with a keyboard like sound/tone for both of your questions. Or it could well be a Celestra or Xlyophone with effects, but it sounds too digital to be a raw instrument. Probably sampled. As for how to mimic that sound? Well there's a thousan...

Re: Do you truly believe in having a "favourite"?
Yes and no. It's a case of "This is my favourite!", then come sometime later something else appears that sways me over. It doesn't mean my previous favourite is now considered lesser, but there was just something else that made me click. I don't like to bog down on singular or few things, ...

Re: When you see a visual novel, what's your first impressio
Characters and story are like the prime factors that I look for. Art is in the eye of the beer-holder, I never like to judge art because it's so objective that I will over look it. Not fair on the creator otherwise. Music can sway me, I normally judge it based on production value rather than it's st...

The only way to find out is the make the novel yourself. The key thing here is Story. Get a good story and good things will follow.

Not 100% sure what you're getting at but, you can use the resources within the Creative Commons section of the forums. If it states you need to give credit then please do so. Some may have restrictions like not to be used in commercial products, abide by those terms. Really the "Ideas" for...

Re: The Predictable Otome
I think because it's on a mobile platform speaks for itself. I'm not saying all mobile games/storys/novel etc are bad. But there is a whole industry surrounding the mobile market in making clone titles and micro-transactions. Mobile games sometimes give off a bad image of games in general. It's been...

Re: song critique requested
Nice clean recording, breathy but I feel it fits what you are going for. The distorted effect with a cut off the low end fits a sort of eerie tone. The vocal melody it self feels like a nursery rhyme, very conjuct in it's movement.
You also have a nice voice.
