Re: View Player Choices

I apologize, I was not clear. My code adds up the scores as a result of accumulations. The problem is I accidentally typed in the wrong value for an accumulation for two questions, so my numbers are off, and I wanted to know if there was a way to basically know which choice in a given menu a user pi...

Re: View Player Choices

Wouldn't it be easier to fix the game and then have the people retake the test? Or get new test subjects? With graduation looming in less than two weeks and the difficulty I had finding enough people to do this in the first place, unfortunately I do not have that option (and with how the experiment...

Re: View Player Choices

I'm still looking into this, but I have to ask: is this something I can do after I've already had someone play the game and all I have left are their save files? This just seems to be something I can only do before the game is published. Or-- --wait, stupid question alert-- If I add this JSON to my ...

View Player Choices [Helped by PyTom]

I'm 99% sure this is impossible, but since I'm a bit desperate, I thought I would ask anyway. Basically, I'm using Ren'py for an experiment that involves answering a questionnaire in the beginning. This test is measuring self-esteem, but each question corresponds to one of three categories: Social, ...

Re: "Scoreboard" Number counting

As I mentioned, I simply took it from another thread that seemed to be asking how to make a simple extra textbox. So I wasn't sure of my options :(

In any case, thank you, it works well!

"Scoreboard" Number counting

Me again  I would like to add a sort of extra box that appears at the top of the screen. In essence, I need it to be a scoreboard. I think I sort of have one going. I found this from another thread and put it in my code. This is in screens: screen button: button: background "images/screen...

Re: Jumps Going to Wrong Label

Thank you for taking time to answer! I had tried that solution previously, but then I get a different problem. Here's the code in question that it seems to affect: label start: scene bg normal with dissolve $ PreScore = 0 $ PostScore = 0 $ PlayerPoints = 0 $ OppPoints = 0 label name: $ SubName = ren...

Jumps Going to Wrong Label [SOLVED]

I feel like I'm asking so many questions...let me know if I need to stop making so many threads Okay, so I have a problem that was not a problem up until now. The only change I've made since this was adding a confirm button with the following code: screen choice: window: style "menu_window"...

Re: Going Forward/Pressing Enter

EDIT: I missed a very vital portion of your code the first time. Thank you, it works like a charm!

Going Forward/Pressing Enter

I have two different questions that are sort of related, but the coding is likely different. First, I would like a basic imagemap button that goes forward. I'm using ren'py for something other than a VN, so my users will not be familiar with VNs. As such, instead of training them to press enter, I w...

Transition to Main Menu

I am so sorry to ask such a silly question, but my limited programming knowledge is really showing here. I have a video as a splashscreen before the main menu is shown. Easy enough. Now, I would like to have a transition (dissolve or fade) from the splashscreen to the main menu, so that it's not suc...

Re: Writing trans characters and other genders in dating gam

I think if you run into trouble, you might run into trouble when you deal with the romance. For example, you mentioned that the straight male would have problems with you. Why pick the most stereotypical person to have transphobia problems? There are straight men who are find dating transwomen. And...

Re: Writing trans characters and other genders in dating gam

Hey, sorry to step in, but would any of you mind hearing out an idea from me that has to do with this topic? I'm so very sorry to suddenly take this topic and go "Hey what about me!?" but I would adore some challenges toward my ideas and misconceptions. One thing I want to make clear befor...

Oh Uncle Mugen, I wish I could just send you my sketch-up "blueprint" for my building and you could magically get the pretty details and render it beautifully >.<

And Alte, I commend you for your patience to make that list!
