Re: Animating a Magical Girl Transformation (In progress)

Unfortunately, Youtube won't accept the AVI of the full transformation for whatever reason. Rather irritating, but let's move on. Set 1: Getting started So, you want your magical girl transformation to come to life, but don't know anything about animation software? I'm here to help. Using only drawi...

Animating a Magical Girl Transformation Full video and tutor

Here's the finished product, nil music: https://youtu.be/Xcohh1Pi17U The whole thing is less than 20 seconds, because for some reason the program I used to capture sped it up a bit??? There has to be a better way to show you guys this. Tomorrow I'll start uploading step-by-step how I did it. As a re...

Re: Sprite Artist and Animator for Hire [OPEN]

Here's a compressed sample of an animation done in Ren'Py. Quality isn't too hot, but it shows you what I can do on a basic level.

Animating a Magical Girl Transformation (In progress)

I've been working on animating a magical girl transformation completely in Ren'Py. Here's the .swf of horrible quality: MagicalGirl2.swf I swear it looks better in the actual program, CamStudio really killed the quality and smoothness of everything. Anyone know any better way to capture? I drew ever...

Interactions between writer and reader

I think most of us can agree that feedback is important during and after the writing process, whether it be critique or friendly encouragement. However, over the past few years, these interactions have gained the potential to be much more intimate. Just how intimate do you enjoy your experiences wit...

Re: Am I undercharging on commissions?

Uh, all the things I mentioned are musts for an artist/illustrator... just like writers should know nouns, verbs, adjectives, grammar, tense, where to put apostrophes etc etc. You can't go - I'm a writer but I never learned how to use adjectives, but come on, if I knew all of those I'd be some kind...

Re: Am I undercharging on commissions?

There seems to be a lot of conflicting opinions on this, but art is subjective. I won't change my prices for now, and I appreciate everyone's comments. To ffocal: I don't think you need to fully grasp every art subject to be considered a professional. Professionals can't grasp every single aspect of...

Re: Am I undercharging on commissions?

Thanks a lot for the boost in confidence! I'll probably start charging more eventually, but I want at least a few more commissions under my belt first, to make sure I know I can get the work at a higher price. But again, I really appreciate your advice!

Re: Am I undercharging on commissions?

I work rather fast, and complete something like the last piece in 3-4 hours. I'm relatively new to the commission scene, and while I don't want to be taken advantage of, I also don't feel confident in my pricing ability.

Re: Otome/VN looking for a team ^^

I'm a sprite artist and know enough programming to make what you're asking, as well as a rather nice splash screen, animations, etc. I'm looking for a project like yours to work on in between paid work, so I'd be glad if you had me. If you'd like to see some of my work, head on over to my dA: http:/...

Re: Am I undercharging on commissions?

Thank you for your feedback! Are there any ways to make my commissions more appealing? Other than natural improvement.

Am I undercharging on commissions?

I always worry about the price of my work, and would like some honest feedback on what I should be charging, or if I should be charging at all. Here are some examples of my work. Sprite Artist and Animator for Hire [OPEN]

Hey all! First, thank you for considering me for your commission. I mostly draw anime-inspired characters and know my way around python as well, so if you need assistance animating things like backgrounds, menu effects, or sprites, I'm also you're girl! Rules: *I can draw R-18 stuff, but several fet...

Re: Writing bad decisions

I couldn't agree with Kailoto more about the Fate/Stay Night point. Some decisions make sense if you read everything, but others were so out of left field I had no idea which option to pick. And at the risk of getting off topic, I'd like to talk about Hamlet some more. As I said, it's hard to like H...

Re: Writing bad decisions

Thank you everyone for your input, and thank you E-night for going the direction I was headed. If people will understand if its in character, what happens when the character is the self-insert many VN protags are? A lot of VNs have "bad endings" based on a bad decision. How obvious should ...
