Greetings!
So, the archives are hosting an old version of Tying Threads. Would you mind updating them with the versions on my website (http://www.eng.utah.edu/~jasons/summers ... ished.html)?
Thanks so much!

Re: Tying Threads
It's really cool to see people are still playing and enjoying Tying Threads. Thanks everyone!

Re: Tying Threads
Updated to version 1.0! Snowshine was able to complete the art and even translate into Vietnamese! Thanks SnowShine! And I was able to stop being lazy and put everything together! 'Bout DANG time, Jun! See the original post for updated game files. Would someone mind uploading them to the archives? S...

Multilanguage support with multiple fonts (changing styles)
I would like to put multilanguage support in my game, allowing the user to switch between two languages in the same game. config.translations can be changed at any time, so translating the menu text on the fly isn't a problem. However, I would like to use different fonts for the different languages ...

sfont kerns
In an older version of Ren'Py, the following code worked: $ import asfont22 # Register the sfont contained in asfont22 as "subfont". $ renpy.register_sfont('subfont', 22, filename="asfont22.png", kerns=asfont22.kerns, spacewidth=4) Now that code fails: I'm sorry, but an exception...

Re: customizing the main menu animation and music
Thanks. Though that code requires that you place the buttons and everything yourself. That's probably necessary when the animation must continue to play while waiting for the user- but the particular animation I'm doing only animates before the user interaction. So, I found that replacing "_lib...

Re: making a theme function
Yes, I've seen that list and I think it's incomplete. It says nothing about style.say_label, style.say_dialogue, style.say_window, or style.menu_choice. I assume there are a few that I'm missing. Information about these styles is scattered around the documentation, which made finding it difficult. A...

Re: The Cute, Light, and Fluffy Project
Seeing this title at the archives, I just had to play it. And I am thoroughly satisfied. Great work everyone. I would especially like to thank Chronoluminaire and SunKitten, as "Cloud Fairy" is definitely my personal favorite. I simply adore Elna's playful personality. And I guess that's w...

making a theme function
I would like to make a theme function. I believe I read that ren'py doesn't support user defined functions (more than one line long)... So I thought maybe a subroutine would work. But putting a call statement inside of an init block seems to always give me errors. Also, in creating my own theme, it ...

customizing the main menu animation and music
I would like to play music and perform some animations when the game enters the main menu. Before I was able to do the following: label main_menu: # code to play music and perform animations jump _library_main_menu That jump statement no longer works. And I think jumping to the main menu created a n...

default preference menu bug
I would like to use my own custom theme- not call any of the theme functions. However, this results in the in the menu buttons (the ones at the bottom right) of the preferences menu to be completely unresponsive. The actual preference options as well as the save and load menus seem to work just fine...

Re: The 2008 Lemmy Visual Novel Awards - Results now posted!
I was wondering why it was taking so long to display the results- now I see. Great job Blue Lemma- it was definitely more dramatic and meaningful than just posting the results. And thanks for the honor- I'll be sure to post that badge on Summer Snow's website *sigh* Remembering how many people were ...

Re: Tying Threads
Well, this thread deserves a bump :) I just played this for the first time, thanks to its Lemmy nominations, and I'm very glad I did. Thanks for the kind comments- I'm glad you enjoyed Summer Snow's work. * Some of the backgrounds vary significantly in art style. Though I do very much like the filt...

Re: The 2008 Lemmy Visual Novel Awards - Vote Now!
Wow- I almost missed these awards. RL has been keeping me really busy, so I haven't visited the forums for quite a while. Thanks for the nomination- that alone is quite an honor. I'd like to play some of the other games so I can make an informed choice and vote too, but the archives seem to be down....
