Perhaps hover_thumb should do the trick?
Haven't seen it in the documentation nor tested it yet, but hover_thumb appears blue in Editra like other style properties.

Well, as I stated earlier I am not doing this for some game of my own. I'm doing the Ren'py port of a Japanese game, so the idea is to imitate it's UI as closely as possible. I guess it didn't work at first because I didn't copy/paste it well, or didn't rename all the imagebuttons.
