I always choose the male character. I dunno it feel more like i am able to act like myself unlike the female characters.
But if the characters are gender lock or the game lead is a female character then so be it.

I won't mind helping out with the sprites but I seldom draw female characters but i am willing to give it a try.

The first VN i ever play and got me into VN would have to be the galaxy angel series. I love the characters from that series and the story that goes along with it.
