Re: Websites
As a tip, I don't recommend choosing based on what the website tells you. Look at reviews and comparisons to get an objective description of what the site offers. Some examples: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_free_web_hosting_services (free) http://web-hosting-review.toptenreviews.com/ (...

Re: CGs vs "cartoonized" or filtered photos
I certainly like the idea of artists drawing over existing royalty free photos, or even over 3d renders. I wonder how the artists themselves feel about it though. This is one of my preferences for making backgrounds. It's not much different from how many manga artists do their backgrounds, although...

Re: Super effective writing tips from Pixar
Stephen King is indeed known for simply writing until he reaches a conclusion, however his stories tend to be a collection of Character tales. Seriously. He sets up a situation, for example, a monster comes to an island specifically to find a child he can possess to extend his already long life. Wh...

Re: True Endings
I wonder how one would handle "no single true ending" with sequels. Would you write a sequel that had initial branching paths depending on your original ending, and then merge into the beginning of the main story? That might involve killing off or otherwise moving off-stage your original ...

Re: True Endings
Thanks for all your input! It seems that the general opinion is true endings are fine so long as they don't come at the expense of other routes. Still, I think I'll steer clear of true endings in my games, unless I ever make a sequel. (Although I ought to make a game first before I think about seque...

Re: Unpaid manga artist wanted for my first VN! 2 females
I ended up doing a quick mock up of the girl because she sounded fun to draw, so I might as well offer myself as well if you still haven't decided on an artist.

True Endings
(Sorry if this has been discussed recently, I did a check and didn't see it) How does everyone feel about "True" endings? Or true pairings? I've got mixed feelings about it. I'm okay with them in plot driven games (particularly horror), but I don't like it in romance. In Clannad, for examp...

Re: Hell's Colosseum [BxB][Comedy+Romance]
Looking forward to seeing more of this! BxB isn't regularly my thing, but this looks cute. I can already tell I'd go for the dealer.
(Not that you asked me, but) Definitely only have voice acting if it's good. Personally I'm not sure it'd be worth the costs, but then I don't know what your budget is.

Re: Ill-Fated [Post Apocalyptic - Survival - RPG]
I'm looking forward to seeing your progress on this, it's something I'd like to play. I have to disagree with Hazel-Bun about the intro having too much information. However, I do agree that the delivery could be better in a different way, having an intro of paragraphs of text is better suited to a n...
