Re: Is my character art good enough? (please critique)

I think with the angel wings, you could have benefited from looking at references for wings since they look like flat pieces of cloth instead of being soft and fluffy and they lack the structure. In terms of background and lighting though, I think it looks pleasant and I like the consideration you t...

Re: Using SAI2 for background drawings

Sai 2 isn't really out. It's still in the beta stage that's been through constant updates including the most recent one being today, but it's not an official release by any means if the development room page of the Sai website is anything to go by. It's definitely usable though, since as you mention...

Re: What do you honestly think of my art?

There's a difference in HOW to draw and WHY one draws a certain way. We're suggesting learning from realism so you know why bodies work the way they do. I guarantee you that most anime/manga artists have used and still use realistic references in their art for body and facial proportions, poses and ...

Re: What do you honestly think of my art?

Yea I also don't like the idea of heading in direction toward realistic art as I am not a fan of it, I don't see why I wouldn't learn from other anime artists. That doesn't mean I just want to copy-paste one specific anime style but rather develop my own styles by learning from anime artists rather...

Re: Sculptures as game art

Photos are used in place of drawn backgrounds in some visual novels with some photo shop filtering, but I can't recall or think of a VN that uses physical 3D models since it's not a cost effective way to produce art assets for a strictly digital medium.

Re: What makes a VN good/bad?

Yeah, these questions are fairly broad because there kind of isn't one good answer for each of them unless you're making a product to be sold. And even if you're able to achieve success in more than one category, you're not going to please everyone even after trying to perceive preferences from a li...

Re: What is a software that can allow me to create art like

It looks like these images were rendered digitally in probably Photoshop? Meaning they were drawn from scratch, basically. There's no special software to make stylistic human faces like this, they were just drawn and then painted digitally, probably with a lot of layers and consideration to lighting...

Re: Need Art Coach

Also, another reason why we're all pointing you towards either self-study and/or a real life offline art class is because, well, since you mentioned you're 13, that makes you a minor and again, I mentioned that there's a lot of adults on this forum. You might want to think twice before asking a stra...

Re: I need Help

The thing is, there are only so many hours in a day and not all of them can be spent on this forum. A lot of us are adults who have school or jobs or are involved with their own game projects. What you want is a totally involved art coach and the reality of it is, there probably isn't any person her...

Also don't write out whole roleplay like scripts, please. That's just awkward, especially when you were namedropping other users including myself.

Re: Under Construction..

I did read your whole post, but I'm not gonna bother sifting through and addressing things point by point. I'm gonna be blunt, but civil. If you want to have good enough artwork that people commission you, you need to put in hard work. I don't care about you trying to prove your innocence, the best ...

Re: Under Construction..

There's technically a lot of ways to make money, it doesn't have to be art believe it or not. I gotta say that I'm disappointed. A lot of people, including myself gave you and your art the benefit of the doubt because you were very willing to to listen to advice and improve. That was a good step! Pe...

Thanks mitoky! I appreciate your comment! :3

Here's my newest thing. I had this lineart for too long in my folder so I just rushed everything else. I am happy about the hair and eyes though.
