Re: [SOLVED] Help with cross-platform Steam Cloud Saves
I just want to say thanks for this thread because I've been struggling to get Steam Cloud saves working across Mac! I'm unsure how to test this, though. I currently have a bunch of saves on my Mac and another bunch on my Steam Deck... Cloud is enabled on both devices and says it's up to date, but I ...

Re: renpy.variant("steam_deck") not working in 8.1.3?
I've just tested a new build on Steam Deck using 8.1.3 and you are right, Steam was not installed. It works now Thanks for the help as always PyTom!

Re: renpy.variant("steam_deck") not working in 8.1.3?
Confirmed. I made a new build for Steam Deck with 7.6.3 and renpy.variant("steam_deck") works.

[SOLVED] renpy.variant("steam_deck") not working in 8.1.3?
Hello, I've updated to Ren'Py 8.1.3 (previously on 7.6.3) and I've noticed "renpy.variant("steam_deck")" appears to be getting ignored now. It could be something else, but this update is the biggest change I've recently made. Just wanted to check if anyone else has noticed this o...

Self voicing on Steam Deck
Hi all,
I noticed whilst testing on Steam Deck that self voicing no longer works. I've updated to 7.6.3 but the problem still persists. Is this a known issue? I'd like to include this feature on Steam Deck if possible.

Re: Lagging mouse cursor on 4K?
Update: To give the technical explanation - My house has 3x 4K60 devices that are split off from my PC via a single HDMI port via a splitter device. To save EDID renegotiation, I have a device that sits between my PC and the splitter device that fakes the EDID information, so the PC thinks all 3 mon...

Re: Lagging mouse cursor on 4K?
The mouse should be hardware accelerated, so if it's slow, that's more likely to have something to do with something other than Ren'Py. They say it works fine outside of the game, though (and when it's in window mode). Some more info from them: One very odd thing is if I have a window or anything (...

Lagging mouse cursor on 4K?
Hi all, I have a player who has reported the mouse cursor lagging when in fullscreen mode on 4K60 display. They say it runs fine when windowed, though. Unfortunately, I don't have a monitor to test this on (mine is 2560x1440) and it works fine in fullscreen. I wondered if this was a problem with Ren...

Re: Textbox window location bug when changing fonts
In case anyone else has this trouble, for some reason it was affected because of a transform applied to the window in the say screen, specifically: transform irlbubble_huge: xanchor 0.5 yanchor 0.5 I had to change it to: transform irlbubble_huge: xanchor 0.0 yanchor 0.0 And then manually position it...

Re: Textbox window location bug when changing fonts
I'm not sure if this is helpful, but I do know that Open Dyslexic has some weird sizing stuff - it has a TON of headroom that is actually built into the font and could be throwing off your measurements. Have you considered swapping to a different font like Atkinson Hyperlegible to see if it's only ...

[SOLVED] Textbox window location bug when changing fonts
Hi all, I'm using a clear/ dyslexia friendly font in my game. 99% of the time, the windows display correctly, but I have one character (fan) whose window location changes depending on which font is active. If default, it's fine, but if clear/ dyslexia friendly, it's too low/ partially off the screen...

VIDEOVERSE
L3k_0_KQcDQ Hi all! I wanted to share with you my second game 'VIDEOVERSE' which has just launched on Steam, itch.io and Humble. My first game was One Night Stand, which started as a Nanoreno project. In comparison, VIDEOVERSE is much longer (and took a lot longer to make!), has a pixel art style a...
