Re: Without Within
Hello Invertmouse! Just played your game the other day and have to say, it was fun! Short, sweet, light-hearted: everything you want after a long day of work. I guess I grew up in a somewhat similar background so I could understand the humour, and that was largely why the VN fascinated me!! Definite...

Re: Favourite Final Fantasy?
I started with FF7 (which got a sibling of mine very grumpy because I accidentally saved over his files). Maybe because I started with FF7, I still find the scenes very magical. It was the first FF with drastic improvement in graphics, maybe that's why too. I've played the earlier FFs as well, and w...

Re: Cinders - now on Steam! [commercial]
I've finished the game recently :) At first, I wasn't used to the art (I tend to go for more anime-esque ones). Once I got used to it, I couldn't go back! Backgrounds were illustrated beautifully. Music, enchanting. Dialogues, witty and interesting. But most of all, I felt like I was in control whil...

Re: Aloners [GxB] (a post-apocalyptic romance)
I've finished the game a couple of days ago, and of course there'd be a Lemmasoft thread for me to express my awe!! This is such a great game, it was engaging from the start straight to the end. Maybe because there weren't many characters in the game, but I could see each character's depth beautiful...

Re: NaNoWinter Visual Novel game Jam
Question! Must all assets be newly created from scratch during the game jam, or can I use assets that were created beforehand?
I'm thinking of writing something like a prologue for my current VN project if that's allowed.

Re: Textbox jumping around when using dissolve
I've tried recreating the issue from a blank slate, but this issue recreated does not concern dissolve. It's where the textbox keeps jumping around (I think solving this might help with solving the 'dissolve' issue). The script and image files used are as attached. I want the say_who_window to be la...

Textbox jumping around when using dissolve (SOLVED)
Hi all I've recently encountered this issue and hope someone has the solution to this... When I do window hide show aki at center with dissolve window show , I want to keep the textbox there (instead of dissolving). So I used a window show command to keep the window there. However, this doesn't stop...

Re: Art critique please!
Yes, I use the hue/saturation filter. I was referring more towards choosing colors that look good with one another. I've been bad at doing it in an organised fashion. I tend to just eyeball the colors as I go through the hue/saturation slider...

Re: Art critique please!
Hi Laniessa Again, valuable two cents to note! Laniessa's notes: a. Head anatomy - ratios b. Cast shadows vs. form shadows <--- this is amazing! Never thought of this before :) Thanks very much Laniessa!! Here goes an attempt to fix! I think I'm happy with Raphael's color scheme (blond guy), althoug...

Re: Art critique please!
I also agree with the shilouette stuff, that's a very important design aspect. Sometimes you don't even need to change their looks to give them distinctive shilouettes, sometimes it's good enough with a pose which expresses an attitude. That's true. This would mean redrawing from sketches again O_O...
