Re: Anyone playing Fantasy Life [3DS]?

Thanks for your thoughts, lacelazier. I'll pick it up around Christmas time or Black Friday for sure! It sounds very interesting, especially the "Lives" and customization aspects. A couple of sites I follow have given it praise too. I don't have the new Pokemon titles, so this'll be a cool...

I'm interested as well. :) It's best to set boundaries first, so both you and your prospective clients can make a good choice with whom they're willing to work with.

Wishing you luck in any case, FlowerDeath!

I've been looking to get it once the price goes down. How would you describe it?

I've subscribed to everyone thus far. :D

Here's my lowly page. Nothing there just yet, but I hope to be working on a Game Jam in the near future.

Ugh... Pewdiepie. :?

But if you're working on this, sasquatchii, I wouldn't be adverse to helping y'all out.

I do like the idea of a really strange dating sim. Someone threw the idea around about a periodic table dating sim, and I really liked it. Maybe something similar?

Re: Nonsense Writing?

I do this all the time just to free myself up before anything big I need to do. It's as simple as jotting down my thought process on the page (as convoluted and vulgar as it might be).

Re: Does anyone have an opinion on Oxford (serial) commas?

@breadslam Oh yeah, I remember hearing from a teacher once in high school that Oxford comma's (or, as they called them, "the third comma") was "American". I was like, "Nah, screw it, I like the Oxford comma." (though I didn't know that's what it was called back then). ...

Well, it is an Obsidian game on a Bethesda engine... I thank my lucky stars every time I load up New Vegas that it doesn't just catch my computer on fire.

Thanks for the code, Donmai. I've been experimenting with ATL transitions myself, so this sheds a little light on some of the stuff I was fuzzy on. :)

Re: How do you write your script?

I write it all into Ren'Py because I'm the coolest kid on the block. Also, it keeps me on task by breaking up writing with basic coding.

Re: Does anyone have an opinion on Oxford (serial) commas?

I get inconsistent with Oxford commas, to be honest. That's a big flaw with my technical skill as a writer, but it's a tough habit to break. I blame my back-and-forth schooling in both America and Britain to cover up the immense guilt.

Re: "10 Types of Hypercorrection" Article

Thanks for posting this article, Nat. I read through it and found a lot of good points for my NaNoWriMo kids when they get around to revising. :) I subscribe to the same philosophy as you when it comes to entertainment prose versus formal writing. My work tends toward going too informal over too for...

I completely forgot about it myself this year, since I help out the local middle school's writing club with theirs. Ah, such is life I suppose. :)

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

I guess the moral of the story is, don't try to work with people who won't show you their previous projects. And it's a good thing I followed my instincts and wrote up a contract that my story belonged to me if the partnership didn't work out. I'll just be more careful in the future. :/ I'm sorry y...
