Re: A Good Quality Laptop for playing Visual Novel games mos

Wow, visual novel games aren't that graphically intense... any crappy laptop should work. Heck, even a net book will likely play them fine.

Re: Dub or Sub?

Has to be "Sub". There is just a wealth of emotions, expressions and feelings that seem to only be possible with the Japanese language. If you watch something like Fairy Tale and listen to the goofy parts, that's almost impossible to pull off in English.

Re: About diets...

I actually do horrible when I don't get to eat whatever I want, which is why I can't go back to low carb (must have nachos!). I got ahold of those "hollywood" cookie diet things. But I'm tweaking the diet a little, where I eat one meal of whatever I like and as much as I want (I usually do...

Re: Email- A Love and Horror Story

I am with RemnantDream and Gene on this one. I only have a very limited time to try out some games on these forums and when I do, I'd like to know I'm not wasting it on something that someone put no effort into or was just screwing around with. If anyone wants to see a screen shot, before downloadin...

Re: Using a free blog site as a portfolio?

There are some pretty impressive free blogging templates out there that can showcase your work and make it look very professional. I actually thing, job-wise, that would give you more cred than a simple Deviant Art link. Also, I'm not sure you want biz folks checking out your deviant art, seeing the...

Re: Options for The Art-Impaired

I recommend hiring an artist. I know it gets expensive but you build great relationships that way and it's nice to see people who've been drawing most of their lives be rewarded for their dedication.

Re: Motivation?

Everyone has issues like these (except AzureTwilight, apparently, lol). But if you're really bad about keeping focus than one of your only options for actually finishing a project is to make it episodic maybes. Think of it like an anime series with each episode around a half an hour long. Pros: - Yo...

Re: Where to go for art contests?

Thanks for all of the links, I swear I was searching around that site for an hour and found, like, 1 contest per month, haha. I'm not looking for any money or fame or anything just some fun art practice. Edit: I just noticed the search links you provided on Deviant art don't show any new contests pa...

Where to go for art contests?

Where does one go to do art contests? I don't mean super professional ones that I don't have any chance at partaking in, I mean normal low skill art contests that are just alot of fun, have a good variety and are a good way to practice. I heard Deviant Art has some but I'm a bit of a newb there and ...

Re: Red Snow {Open Development}

Looks great. Did anyone mention that "Red Snow" is an iPhone hack? Not that we've never had anything named similarly around here but at first glance I was like, "Oh cool, the iPhone hacker is making a VN!" :P All in all, the art is awesome, I love the designs for the clothing. Ke...
