Re: Foreign Languages
My native language is American English: 5/5. Unfortunately, my Spanish never got past the time and seasons. I won't even give it a ranking, as I don't remember anything but a few words. My Japanese is about the same: only in the first part of the GENKI series learning the hiragana and katakana. Besi...

Re: Anime and Ethics: Horrible Work Conditions In the Indust
That's really sad, both the pay and work conditions. It's sad to see so much time devoted to work, and yet so little human interaction therein. I've wanted to go to Japan for a while, but i'm a bit worried that no one will want to make friends with me and hang out: both because i'm a foreigner (i've...

That sounds amazing! I'd love to see more strategy games in this vein (I remember looking forward to this game , though it seems to have fallen through). I can only imagine how challenging organizing all the branches must have been. Please finish this no matter what. :D Hello! I'm working with Kinj...

Hilaire Belloc, a friend of G.K. Chesterton, also has high quality writing; his book on Heresies is excellent. In addition, he has great humor, though not as hilarious as GK, in my opinion. Check out the title of his children's book: Matilda Who told Lies, and was Burned to Death

I'm with you on this for notes and thoughts; though I find it difficult to actually do writing on notepads. I prefer the computer for that.Mad Harlequin wrote:Am I the only one who still prefers a good old-fashioned notepad?

So... that girl I like at my work is quitting. Ugh, kind of gets me down as she's kind of a, say, motivation, to come to work every day. Very cute, and a very sweet girl, I'm going to miss her. There goes any chance of having her as a girlfriend. :( But! I'm not sure if that's true. I've heard abou...

Re: What Are Some Common Visual Novel Clichés?
A lack of voice for characters frustrates me. Even when people say they wrote a character "in their own voice," that's often not the case. The writer's voice is much more exciting than the boring character they wrote; they have personality, habits of speaking, actions they do (or don't do...

Oh true! Another question is how do you work with a writer?? Tell them key points you want to happen and then read+review what they make? This probably sounds like super obvious questions but I'm from the other side of the field here, haha. Well, you'll probably want to view writing samples to see ...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...
So this has been on my chest for the longest time. I mean. Am I being ungrateful? Am I being selfish? I won't tell my story here, but I definitely understand when it comes to mother problems (and parent problems, in general). Those questions are especially difficult to struggle with; you feel like ...

Your art's really pretty! That coloring for the first one is great. If I ever end up writing a VN, you'll be on the short list for commissions!

I am curious as to whether Steam allows for a PWYW model; I don't think so. So if you plan to go Steam Greenlight to get your game a bigger market, you'll have to settle for either free entirely or a set price (though a good number of them are only a few dollars, and there are some free ones. Though...

Re: The last book you read or what are you reading right now
The books i've been reading probably won't fit into the conversation so well, but... If you've ever heard of the British author G.K. Chesterton (~1920's prime time), he's incredible . His wit is fantastic. He was a journalist and prolific writer; he had a ton of hilarious, great works. Among them: O...

It seems like there's a lot more writers than artists looking for groups; you can look in the Recruitment thread. You'll probably be able to find someone who's interested!Fungii wrote:Oh man I got an idea for a nano today on my way to work, thing is how do you get a writer on board when you're an artist, haha
