Re: Can you use an adjustable bar on a variable within a class?

I had typed something wrong in fieldvalue - it works now thank you!

I think I had FieldValue("thing", "myvar", 200) instead of FieldValue(thing, "myvar", 200)

Re: Random number slows down game

Does defining these variables before the game starts help? define discount1 = renpy.random.randint(1, 10) define discount2 = renpy.random.randint(1, 20) define discount3 = renpy.random.randint(1, 25) define discount4 = renpy.random.randint(1, 30) define discount5 = renpy.random.randint(1, 50) or you...

I did try that, and I got the same error so I wasn't sure if it mattered what kind of value bar it was at this point haha

Can you use an adjustable bar on a variable within a class?[Solved]

I am not amazing at classes so I'm trying to understand them better. I also kind of need them for my project. Any guidance would be helpful. I'm trying to condense my code as much as possible. Do I have to use external variables for this or is there a better way? How can I directly adjust the variab...

input troubles

When I add an input inside an imagemap, my mouse can be anywhere on the screen to be able to continue typing but when I use an input inside a normal screen (within an hbox or such) I have to have my cursor directly over the text for it to accept any typing. Does anyone know why this is or how to fix...

Re: Updated computer and the Display Got Weird...

That is strange. I'm not a mac user but can you go back to the previous os version? I literally had a PC update last night as well and sometimes there are glitches that they fix over time with new updates. If it's annoying enough, I can go back before the update

Re: Affection points system not working?

You don't need the $ at all unless you're about to change them. Leave the default variables that are defined before the game stars, remove the second group because there is no point for them since they're already at 0 with the default statement.

Re: How can I make the quick-menu remain visible while hovered?

You should probably have it set up like this (obviously put whatever area numbers you need, this was just for my testing purposes) screen quick_menu(): ## Ensure this appears on top of other screens. zorder 100 mousearea: area (0,1000, 1000, 100) hovered SetVariable("quick_menu", True) unhovered Set...

Re: Capitalizing a customised name

Well it shouldn't..considering the dialogue has nothing to do with that line. When you reference the variable in a dialogue script, it should show up normal.

Re: Capitalizing a customised name

You can add .upper() at the end but I'm not really sure what your code is for your character name

Re: Ever changing background image with transition per image, for a button's background property

Cookie cutter meaning that nothing has to be a specific way. You can mix and mess with all of these transform keywords and timers and amount etc This is basically the same code but with some smoother effect. You can mess around with it until you achieve what you're looking for. image button_animatio...

Re: Ever changing background image with transition per image, for a button's background property

This isn't a cookie cutter situation. You put the animations steps in the image accordingly. I will give an example when I'm back on my pc
