I'm curious to know if this has been done very often. I'm brainstorming for a project right now and the more I think about it... the more I'd like to have the main character be, well... not a hero. I think it would be really interesting to have a main character in the vein of Light Yagami from Death...

If we're counting movies? Spirited Away is my favorite movie of all time. So there's that. I love every single Studio Ghibli movie as well though.

In terms of shows... that's tough. Death Note would probably be my pick. But I really love FMA (both series), Samurai Champloo, and DBZ.

I loved Speed Racer as a kid and when Toonami came around I instantly fell in love with pretty much everything there. DBZ, Rurouni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho, etc.

Guess it was just fate! =P

I've been playing Rogue Legacy and Hearthstone a lot. Also replaying Katawa Shoujo for research purposes (and I don't mean that... in that way, haha).

Circa Survive, Aphex Twin, and a bunch of OSTs (Death Note, Mass Effect, Spirited Away)!

Sometimes I'll put on something a little heavier for an action scene like 30 Seconds to Mars or Marilyn Manson.

Or something like VNV Nation or Blaqk Audio if it's a dance scene/love scene.
