I remember she had issues with losing access to her socials/emails before...

Adding a pause to the choice screen?

Our choice screen plays a 0.5 second animation (for fading out the image) when clicking a choice. The downside of this is the game continues underneath while this animation is playing. Previously, I added pause 0.5 statements under every menu choice so the animation does not overlap with what happen...

zoomin, zoomout and zoominout transitions not working.

I'm not sure why, but the zoomin, zoomout and zoominout transitions aren't working in my project. If I use them in another project, they seem to work. In our current project I found out there were transforms also named zoomin and zoomout, but even if those are renamed I can't get the transitions to ...

Re: How to Fight Your Desire to Rewrite

There are certainly stories about writers who kept re-writing their novel until it was "perfect", sometimes over the span of years (or even a decade?). It really depends on your goals - do you want everything to be perfect, or do you want your game to be finished during a certain time fram...

[Paid][Open]Looking for Programmer to add better Steam Deck support to released game.

We would like to add better Steam Deck support to our previously released game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/571880/Angels_with_Scaly_Wings/ Ideally, this would be someone who already has experience with the Steam Deck or has done similar things in regards to what we require to get the control...

How to handle big sprites to preserve quality?

I am using rather big sprite files in my game to be able to move them around closer or further apart from the camera as needed. To emphasize the point, in a regular scene they might be displayed with a zoom of 0.3 or 0.25. Initially, they were also defined as composites to combine different elements...

AlphaMask and characters?

I'm basically using this to create a similar effect in my game. After a lot of trial and error to get it to work correctly (apparently show statements for AlphaMasks can't have ATL blocks, because the same ATL block on a sprite and an AlphaMask will result in the AlphaMask being in a different posit...

Re: Ren'Py Gripes

I'd like to propose to change the way image alignment in text works. Being able to customize how and where images are aligned in text (such as middle or bottom of text line instead of top) would make this feature much more flexible to use. Re: Image alignment in text.

Thanks for the tips!
Still feels odd that this is seemingly the only way images in text can be handled, but maybe that's just me.

Image alignment in text.

From: https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/text.html "image The image tag is a self-closing tag that inserts an image into the text. The image should be the height of a single line of text. The argument should be either the image filename, or the name of an image defined with the image statement. g &...

Re: Artists Can't Charge Paypal Surcharges

Yes, this is a much discussed point. Not just among artists, but also retailers and vendors of any kind.

Do check your Paypal TOS, as it will vary depending on the country you open the account in and the situation may be different.

Re: Is Indiegogo a good crowdfunding platform for VN

Do you have any advice in crowdfunding in this platform based on your experience? We are a new team and this is the first game we would launch so I'm kind of nervous, we plan to release a demo soon though so people could see what we already have and could give. There aren't really any big differenc...
