Re: Story Progression, Route choices, and 'free time'

This sounds exactly the way Danganronpa does it. Though its not really a dating sim, it has a definitive "main story" that is the same every time, but gives many chances to have "free time" with the various characters. This allows you to get to know the character a little bit bet...

Re: Sculptures as game art

Check out The Dream Machine on steam. It has what appears to be clay animation, though I'm not sure if it's just digitally rendered as to look like that. But regardless, it's a viable platform I think! Just probably way more work. :) http://store.steampowered.com/app/94300/The_Dream_Machine_Chapter_...

Re: How do you feel about flipping asymmetrical sprites?

Flipped sprites aren't a deal breaker for me, but I definitely do always notice them. As a graphic designer, it does bug me... but it's a lot like a bad font bugs me. It won't stop me from playing a game that has a good story, but I will definitely pause and think "this doesn't look right"...

I loooove the 80s style you have going on.
Voted - I am looking forward to it!

I've been working a lot with Fungus as well, so it's nice to see games that are using it.

Re: Until Eleven - [GXB] [Mystery] [Thriller] [Romance] DEM

Thanks so much for your comments, tantivy!

So far a couple people have requested that I include instructions to let people know they're supposed to click on things in the room. So I'll try to find a non-intrusive way to include that.

Re: Until Eleven - [GXB] [Mystery] [Thriller] [Romance] DEM

One thing, I have not been able to find the "skip" function, to keep me from marathon clicking when I am going back through something that I played through once already. Does it exist, or did I miss it? This is something I do plan to add for the full version. Sadly, it's not as easy to co...

@SeventhStranger- Was excited to see your message that you have added the mac version; downloading now! Thanks! philip No problem! Let me know if there are any issues, Since I'm not able to test the mac version, I worry :) EDIT: looks like there was a problem with the itch.io upload so the files we...

Yikes! I fixed the windows file on the page so it should be all good now.

I also added the OSX version (which I thought I already had uploaded. That's what I get for doing this stuff at the wee hours of the morning)

Re: The Adventures of Scottie [1950s] [Heist & Espionage]

I really enjoyed the demo. Short, but definitely still gives a good impression of where you are going with it. I feel like the relationship between Scottie and Freddie is going to be a major drawing point - I'm really interested in seeing how it develops. I'll be keeping an eye out for your release!

I'm also looking forward to trying the demo. I think people will be able to give some suggestions once we're able to try it out for ourselves. :)

Re: Summer Novel Festival Discussion Thread [Jul - Aug Gamej

Yeesh.. I'm starting to feel as if I'm behind where I wanted to be at this stage. My project submission may end up being a "Chapter One" sort of deal, which I was really hoping I wouldn't have to do. BUT there's still time, something miraculous could happen :)

Re: Commission review system?

Would simply having a "recommend this artist" type feature be enough? There would be no negative reviews per say, only people willing to recommend someone that did good work. Then you could avoid people using a rating system to vent or having one low review ruining an artist's chances of w...
