Re: Seeking Writers for Romance Visual Novels in Fantasy Gen

Excuse me, but this is below minimum pay. You said that you were willing to pay $1375 for 55K words, or $0.025 per word. Granted the average writing speed of an average scripter is 500 words/hour or 8.3 words/minute, this boils down to $12.5/hour. The current minimum wage in New York, where I live, ...

Re: Looking for Community Management Intern (PT, Short-term)

As in upfront? You're paying the interns monthly / per work and not hinged on some mythical promise of a kickstarter far, far away, right?

Re: Oberon Acadamy - Artist and Coder Needed!

Switching artists three times already is probably a bad idea. I suggest you work on other things while the lead takes care of his real life responsibilities then work with him again. Horrific style consistency is one of the many reasons that indie EVNs tend to suffer..........

B-b-but I didn't know!! And as long as he doesn't notice it's okay! What's wrong with trying to get cheap money with very little work anyway? It's not like I'm the only one who does it.

Rule #1: If you want artists better than hobbyists with nothing better to do, don't make a recruitment post. Actively go on any and all sites and message them yourself.

Nah, I think you'll just repeat the path others already undertook.

Re: [Busy]Free Programmer/Web Designer

........you should stop going around and asking on nearly every recruitment thread if their work is up for free. I can handle one or two but the way you're behaving is beginning to irritate me.

Re: OELVN Publisher Looking for Projects

From what I can conclude they're basically a group of people with good intentions but no solid expertise. It never hurts to collab with people like them, so I suggest you all give it a shot :D

Re: OELVN Publisher Looking for Projects

Wittmann, A kickstarter of merely $4k hardly justifies the experience necessary to help others. Considering the average money an OELVN raises through kickstarter is somewhere along $5K to $6K, from a developer's perspective I wouldn't be very convinced that your offer is very attractive from the sea...

Re: Needing Artist for Album Cover Art - Paid/Serious Inquir

If you're looking for that level of artwork, lemmasoft isn't the right place.
Speaking of which, I am acquainted with the artist who drew the last picture. I also know the contact information for the second picture, but I don't know her personally. Feel free to PM me if you'd like to discuss more :)

Re: Looking for character & CG artist

The role of a character artist has nothing to do with whether this work is a commission or not. In other words, even if they emailed you with commission inquiries, you have no right to claim that those individuals are unaware of the responsibilities entailing that of a character artist.
