Another FR gijinka.

First sketches for my Ilujam game, before I settled for a different idea entirely. I still like these, though, I might use them in something else, or even for sprite practice.

Re: Art Learning Resources

Seconding DesignDoll - I previously used DAZ for posing, but it was such a pain to set anything up that it oftne was more of a hassle than just to freehand figures and hope for the best. DesignDoll was a pleasant surprise, much more intuitive. A word of warning, though: the trial version doesn't all...

Re: Tower Trap [BL, Fantasy, Comedy][YaoiJam]

The premise sound spretty cool, but I'm most interested in the characters! It seems like an interesting, well-rounded cocktail of personalities, and I'm quite looking forward to learning more about them.

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

nero297, the GUI is looking pretty cute so far! Simple and legible. Dreamgazer, I think it's looking very solid! cahaya.png A Flight Rising dragon gijinka. I like dropping by the free gijinka thread there, they always make for great warmups, and people tend to be super jazzed about my gifts. :') war...

Re: Greyinthedark attempts backgrounds! [Critiques welcome]

I use either Photoshop CS6 or PaintTool Sai, but I'm really no expert when it comes to exporting things - I just use these programs' default settings unless I see something is wrong, and then I fiddle with the Save For Web option in PS.

I'm glad I could help! :)

Re: Greyinthedark attempts backgrounds! [Critiques welcome]

Yeah, there's a difference! The pixellation in this particular bg is most apparent on the bright teal parts of the clouds - zoom in on both versions really closely and switch between tabs, and you should be able to see the difference even on a small screen. These artifacts generally tend to appear a...

Re: Greyinthedark attempts backgrounds! [Critiques welcome]

These are definitely a good start! They definitely get the settings/moods across. One thing I noticed, though - all of them are crunchy and pixellated; sorry if I'm being captain obvious and you just saved them as .jpgs because they're practice, but when finishing an asset, it's always a good idea t...

nero279, this is so nice of you to say! Thank you! :)

This sprite set is looking really good! The coloring is really soft and pleasant to look at.

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

Dreamgazer , the snow looks fine! Maybe it could go over the characters a bit more, because now it looks like there's a force field around them or something like that, but it's clearly recognizable as a blizzard. Here's my entry for Voltage's contest; the cg was super rushed, because I mistakenly t...

It's been a while since I've dropped by (no other reason than that I forgot), so I'll go ahead and do a bit of an art dump.
