Re: Question about Rollbacks
The question I'd ask myself at this point is: "Who am I making this game for?" Is it only for the people with similar thought processes as me? Is it for everyone? Who is my target audience? What would my target audience prefer? Who am I going to alienate with my design decisions? Who am I ...

What concepts are consistent through your writing?
Basically, which concepts pop up pretty much in everything you write, whether overt or subtle? And, if there are such concepts, do you feel limited by the repetition? For example in my writing, themes of death, time and yin-yang type of dualism pop up very often, and sometimes it's a bit of a strugg...

Re: Should we be encouraging?
Economy has never been a matter of what is or isn't moral, really.

Re: Visual Novel Survey.
Why is it with writing we insist the craft isn't important enough to hire someone who knows how to do it? If I were to hazard a guess, I'd suppose that because writing is a direct form of expression through language. I hope I'm wording this right, but when it comes to drawing or music, the ideas ex...

Re: Reluctance to share ideas
Greetings. Thanks to some stuff in the past where someone took my idea and ran with it (and cut me out), I've been ever since pretty timid and paranoid about sharing my creative ideas with people. And I really need to get over it because, well, can't develop as a creator much if I don't look for fe...

Re: Reluctance to share ideas
Well, I'm in no such "danger" currently, my problem is that I'm denying myself a chance for constructive feedback out of fear that I'll put myself in it again. Once bitten twice shy and all. But, Katta does have a good point about it; and I've got work done on the thing as it is. Ah well m...

Re: Just rolling with your story's development?
My characters constantly develop personalities of their own, not necessarily what I initially imagined. I go with it, but I do take the time to update them, back-check for inconsistencies (those are BAD), and make sure they still fit the theme.

Branching vs. linear story with deviations
The plot I'm working on could go both ways, but I'm running into a few considerations with both - and it's not the raw amount of writing needed. For the "branching" variant, my problem is setting the pace of introducing characters to the player while giving the ones introduced later into t...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...
I'm just in one of those phases when I don't have any clue what I want to do with my life, and the heat and subsequent insomnia (hard to sleep with this heat/humidity going on) are sapping my creative abilities. I usually weather such phases out just fine, but damn are they TEDIOUS.

Re: What you it take to make YOU a Patreon supporter?
An increase in my paycheck I don't lack motivation, but living on a budget sucks. I might be more of a penny-pincher than is warranted, but life hasn't been kind to me in the past decade and has only recently started to change, so it would take time.

Re: Do you hate your writing?
Yes. To the point I have, a few times, made the rather bad decision of striking old work from existance. Which is a bad idea, I'd say...in any case, yeah, my writing falls victim to "never good enough".
Re: Guestbook
Ah how rude of me to not come here before asking questions elsewhere. Greetings from Slovenia, of all places. I'm a thirty-something (okay, almost-thirty-three) working drone (and perpetually broke, even if not actually poor) and hobbyist writer (of unfinished stuff, because I keep getting distracte...
