Re: Offering criticism!
Thank you for looking over my stuff! :) And yeah, I've always wanted to get around to doing soft shading, I just have no idea what I want to try it on haha. I actually don't flip my images as often as I should, I know it's something that I need to do more often so I can catch more mistakes. What do ...

Re: Offering criticism!
Hey, this is really cool of you, would you mind taking a look at some of the stuff I tossed in here? https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2al6IOf0SO_LWFQSlJPeVJGdUU That sketch one is still in progress, I have a couple more characters to put in on the right-hand side so it looks kinda empty right now.

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
I just finished Persona 3 a couple weeks back (pretty good game in my opinion, check it out if you have 40ish hours to kill and like RPG style games) and decided to make a piece for it. If any of you have any critiques or feedback for this piece let me know, I'd love to hear it! http://i.imgur.com/r...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
So, a while back a friend of mine told me to draw Ichigo from Bleach. Now, I never watched Bleach so I did a bunch of Google searches and really liked that half-mask design. I did change it up a bit though. This drawing was done back in August. (I initially started digital drawing back in May of thi...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
Hello everyone! I recently re-watched Code Geass so I decided to start making a huge poster of it as if it were a movie poster. Kind of like this one http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/shingekinokyojin/images/d/d3/Attack_on_Titan_recap_movie_1_poster.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20140707024300 . As of ri...

Re: How should I explain magic?
Well, I suppose the way I would tackle something like that in a story rather quickly would have a conversation of magic come up briefly between some of the characters. Just something that would flow in a regular conversation with your characters, don't try and make them over explain it though as it ...

Re: Opinion on Eyes
I agree with MaiMai's suggestion on considering what they will look like on a sprite, since that is going to be the context. I also agree that you have too much going on inside the eyes... sometimes simplicity is more visually appealing! The shapes of your eyes are wonderful... The diversity in sty...

Re: Character Portrait 「Critiques Much Appreciated」
I think it looks awesome. I see nothing wrong with the hair. Everyone is their own worse critic. I wish I could draw like you :) Keep up the good work. Ah, thank you, I really appreciate that. I know the hair isn't absolutely terrible but I think I'm going to keep toying with it for a little while ...

Character Portrait 「Critiques Much Appreciated」
Hey everyone! I made a character portrait for a side character whose design I thought of and immediately rushed to my tablet to draw. This was drawn about two weeks ago but I decided to put this up today because I've been worrying about the hair and how it was shaded, I'm not sure if it's good or no...

Re: Opinion on Eyes
Ah, yes, that was something I had considered as well as I had finished drawing those. I felt like a bit of a moron, to be honest, as I realized that sprites are pulled back and the eyes are quite pulled back from the screen. I guess it doesn't completely go to waste though, as drawing something will...

Opinion on Eyes
So recently I have been writing and drawing for a VN I've been producing for about two months now and I've made a quick sketch as to how they could look. I thought about perhaps lightening the eyes up a bit and reducing the amount of contrast between the darkness and the light. Another thought came ...

Re: Preference in Choices
I believe a balance of the two is necessary in a story that relies on choices. As for what's more interesting, it would be choices where the results aren't immediately apparent. If I don't have to stop and think about my decisions like I would in real life, then it's less of a story, and more of me...

Preference in Choices
So I was mulling this over a bit today: what type of choices do you guys prefer in visual novels? These choices, in particular, would be the choices that will have an effect later on. Do you rather choices that are very clear cut and you will know exactly what to expect of them later on or would you...
Re: Guestbook
Hey guys, DVX here. I've looked around on this forum for about a year and about two months ago I made an account - I forgot that I did that, actually... somehow. Anyway, I remembered it and I've been spending some time writing an outline for a VN that I've been thinking of. So, I suppose that's it f...
