Re: Writing, Editing, and Proofreading (Small Projects Are Free!)
5 star review. Cipher worked with Somnova briefly as an editor, and his work was fantastic. Changes were always for the better, both in correcting grammar and spelling mistakes as well as pacing and broad story structure, and he was very amenable when disagreements occurred over edits. He even typed...

Looking for beta testers for Missing Stars
Hi everyone. We're looking for some beta testers for Missing Stars. Familiarity with the project isn't required, and having some testers new to the project would be quite valuable. Your work will include playing beta versions of the game, providing comment and criticism on writing and scene directio...

You're beautiful, this solved the problem. Thanks a bunch guys!xela wrote:alpha 0.0 xalign 0.8 yalign 1

Re: The curse of the unexplained flying girls
No dice, this just moves the character to the far left of the screen, still in the middle height wise. image CHAR Happy2 = im.Flip(im.FactorScale("images/Sprites/Side Characters/CHAR/CHAR_P1_E2.png", 0.66), horizontal=True) show CHAR Happy2 : offscreenright alpha 0.0 align (0.8, 0) easein ...

Re: The curse of the unexplained flying girls
does your sprite have any transparent space below the actual image? The sprite has space around the top and sides, but the bottom of the image ends at the bottom of the sprite. Actually opened this thinking it was a WiP thread. An interesting idea! shouldn't you set x to 0.0 to get a character to t...

Re: The curse of the unexplained flying girls
I'm afraid this doesn't really solve my problem. We're using custom positions, but renpy refuses to read the yalign value. This code has worked fine for other sprites and even this exact sprite in an earlier script, but for some reason, in this use of the code + a few others, it refuses to read the ...

Re: The curse of the unexplained flying girls
We'd still like control over exact values so we can position our characters and fadeins precisely, it doesn't look like this solution will allow for that.helcries wrote:Have you tried using the following code?

The curse of the unexplained flying girls
So we've been directing some of our scenes and having some troubles with some code: image CHAR Happy2 = im.Flip(im.FactorScale("images/Sprites/Side Characters/CHAR/CHAR_P1_E2.png", 0.66), horizontal=True) show CHAR Happy2: offscreenright alpha 0.0 xalign 0.8 yalign 1 easein 1.0 xalign 0.7 ...

A way to test every possible combination of choices?
Hey everyone. So I've been working on testing the points system in our visual novel and I've run into a wall. We have a lot of choices, rough math leads me to believe there are over 4000 different outcomes in point values over six characters and I need to know them all to make sure it's always possi...
