Re: The Madness [Psychological Horror / Puzzle]
Ha ha, yeah, my husband and I managed to beat it, though we did have to look at the source code for a two puzzles... so now I feel it's my duty to help everyone else out. :-D You are on the right track. If you want to "end the day" without changing time much, try: clicking on the barometer...

Re: The Madness [Psychological Horror / Puzzle]
I posted a review of this game on my sister's video game blog, here. I tried to keep it pretty non-spoilery!

Re: The Madness [Psychological Horror / Puzzle]
Wow, this sounds like a lot of improvements everyone will enjoy! I'm kind of sad I missed the spontaneous combustion, though . . . that sounds really exciting. I appreciate you taking the time to fix issues players have noticed.

Re: I've seen a lot of Otome VNs here? Are there no male gam
A payoff doesn't have to be explicit scenes - for some games, uncovering the dateable character's mysteries and getting them to like you is payoff enough. Even though I'm female, I still like playing as a male who dates females, but dislike explicit scenes.

Re: The Madness [Psychological Horror / Puzzle]
The woman's painting was the hardest to figure out. I couldn't figure it out, either. :-/ How to change it: It changes based on the time. If you end the loop earlier (by dying from a bomb or clicking on the barometer a lot or something), you will get the nude woman (night). If you end the loop after...

Re: Dynamic dp_choice's in DSE
Sorry, I know this is from a long time ago, but I figured this out for my own project and thought I would share. If you want dp_choice to sometimes enable/show a choice and sometimes not, you need to put the expression you want it to evaluate in quotes. For example: dp_choice("Take it Easy"...

Re: The Madness [Psychological Horror / Puzzle]
For England, you want English Breakfast tea with milk. I was confused because the flag is not the British flag, but the English flag. . If you think it might be the USA, try whiskey . About the upstairs painting, I never saw the desert one! That's kind of funny.... For the knights, I think there is ...

Re: The Madness [Psychological Horror / Puzzle]
As long as you *like* puzzles, I'm happy to help you out. :-D It will probably help to know a bit more exactly what the pictures represent. If you know what makes the pictures change, try writing down all the things it could be to abstract out what the picture represents. If they are still not clear...

Re: The Madness [Psychological Horror / Puzzle]
Here's what to do with the paintings:
You need the paintings to match the book you've been reading in your bedroom.
But, this is mostly a puzzle game... so hopefully you enjoy puzzles. - Mon Nov 11, 2013 11:29 pm

Hint for the chess puzzle:
It's a couple of pieces... the "three black hearts" are three of the black pieces, so "in their midst" is a space in the middle of them.

Great idea! I was hoping someone would update those soon...
Here's one I played recently and liked that fits the requirements:
