Re: Nonfiction Writing Idea: VNs and Western Audiences
A section on artsy, indie short games (like Air Pressure) might be fun, too.

Re: I've seen a lot of Otome VNs here? Are there no male gam
Katawa Shoujo is BxG, but definitely contains erotic content (I personally would have enjoyed it more without, but as a straight female I'm probably not the target audience anyway). :-) I second the recommendations for Digital and don't take it personally, babe , though neither of them is really a B...

Re: Ren'Py games on websites or even as a Facebook App?
I know that you can play Night at the Hospital online, but I'm not sure how they did it - maybe you could ask them?

Re: The Madness [Psychological Horror / Puzzle]
We are close, I think! Finally made it past the starting area, its detour, and the next area (though we didn't solve any puzzles there?) and are in what seems to be the last area? We did have to cheat and look at the source code to figure out: What the painting of the woman represents, and how to ge...

Re: The Madness [Psychological Horror / Puzzle]
Hmmm, I got to the second area by trying the "rewind" button, too . . . is that really how you get there? Or can you get there another way? It seemed like we had done a lot of things in the first area, but I thought there would be one date entry for every astrological sign, but we only fou...

Re: Which way to display the Player character?
The story is written mostly in first-person present tense (with a little of the intro in first-person past tense). You do decide the character's name, attitude, profession, and lots of actions throughout the story, so it's not really a predefined character . . . but I don't really think of it as &qu...

Which way to display the Player character?
Hey, VN aficionados! I have an interface question for all of you... I'm working on a VN ("Personal Space") where you play as a wife and the game is about you and your husband trying to survive on a space colony. The game is really about the relationship between the two of them and how it p...

Re: How Long Is Long?
I definitely recommend having a demo to download so people can try before they buy. There are lots of kinds of VNs and people tend to prefer specific kinds (GxB, harem games, indie unique games, etc). Personally, I would only pay for a medium-to-long VN that was extremely high quality in text, art, ...

Re: Any Backgrounds of Airports and Airplanes?
Wikimedia Commons has some images of airplanes, and they are usually Creative Commons. Check the license; some authors require that your project also be licensed Creative Commons, while others just want attribution, and some want both or have other stipulations. Try these: Airport: http://upload.wik...

Re: How To use Event function?
event() is a function from the Dating Sim Engine. Probably the best examples can be found in the Dating Sim Engine code itself. Once you download it, run the example game and then look at events.rpy in the game directory. It has examples for lots of different kinds of events. Does that help at all?

RAPT incorrect information in help screen
Running android.py -h says that one of the commands you can run is "install_sdk", when it is actually "installsdk". Small error, but they probably ought to match.

Rapt Error Installing SDK
I'm trying to use RAPT to create an Android version of the game I'm working on, but I'm getting an error message when I try to run installsdk. It tests the JDK, unpacks ANT, and then it says: Opening http://developer.android.com/sdk/terms.html in a web browser. Traceback (most recent call last): Fil...
