At this point, it probably make sense to put the effort into porting to 64-bit Raspberry Pi.
Heh, that's pretty much my exact reason behind my interest in this. Although I suspect you already knew that 8)

Thanks for the clarification.

Re: Ren'Py OS 19.04.01 - Released

Or I could solve the mystery tonight by actually downloading it and trying ;P

I did download the file at the time of release but I've since misplaced it.
It appears to still be available

Re: Ren'Py OS 19.04.01 - Released

That is an April Fool's joke. Every April 1 in the US (and other places? I don't know!) People make jokes. And one thing PyTom does is announce fake RenPy things for laughs. This is one of the fake announcements. So it really was an April fools joke? But In all my years here I've never seen any oth...

Re: Customizing buttons

If you want to do this with textbuttons, just add the image tag within the button text.

Code: Select all

textbutton _("Some button {image='images/some_image.png'}") action NullAction()

Re: Ren'Py OS 19.04.01 - Released

I've been meaning to give this a try ever since April 1st when it was released (why April 1st?!)

Since it's been quite a few months though I was wondering if there were any updates or newer versions or even a source available?

Re: How to add a new preference config to settings screen

You should be able to use the variable with a layered image, which would be much more efficient than the way shown for text in the linked thread.

Re: How to add a new preference config to settings screen

Take a look through this thread.
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=42538#p443860

I would suggest using the method it contains.
You might want to start at the top of the thread, the link I gave takes you directly to a working example.

Yes, use $ within your script when modifying the variable

Re: Displaying variables (or scores) in game text?

Instead of init, it is better to place your variables outside of any label any use default instead of $

Code: Select all

default waster = 0

I tried the following but it doesn't work

Code: Select all

$ renpy.get_screen(startswith("scr_test_")
I am not familiar with startswith, but in the code you provided, you're missing a second closing bracket )

Re: NES-era GUI

If you like, I could create a gui in the style you want sometime later today after work. It is currently early morning for me. For the simplistic style you've shown, I expect I could prepare something in about 30 minutes give or take. Do you have any other requirements? Other screens or menus to mee...

Re: Add or remove options in a menu depending certain criterias

You only need to reverse your statement.

Code: Select all

    menu:
    "Leave before she see you":
        jump label_2

"Take a picture" if not picturetaken:
         jump label_3

Re: Making a Vbox into a button?

You could do that. I can think of two ways (neither tested) The easiest would be to place a regular button inside the vbox, that is the same size as the vbox, over the top of everything else. Or inside a fixed placed above the vbox in the same position. Obviously make the button invisible so it can ...

Use a hard pause.
Be mindful that this should be used sparingly.
