I think horror games(If they are done correctly) are always more frightening than horror films. After all, it's YOU involved in it(Sort of) instead of some random dillweed that you hope is gonna die before the movie ends. lolrubythorns wrote:Honestly some games are more frightening than horror films. . .

Re: [The Dreaming] v0.9 (windows only)
Whoever said you shouldn't be making VNs? I loved MetBlues, Daemonophilia, and This one. Met and The Dreaming are incredibly complex (I don't think I've ever gotten the true ending for either -_-) but that is part of what makes them good! I think most people liken VNs to games and expect something a...

Re: your fetish?
Reading this thread helps me put into perspective how many female Otakus there are. -_- Huh? You make that sound like a bad thing! I didn't mean it too... :| I'm just surprised and a little overwhelmed. you don't really need to have this kind of thread to know how many we are. I kinda did. I ...

Re: What is your favorite way for a VN to end?
I love tragic bitter-sweet endings, where everything concludes and prices are paid. Bonus points if a character dies. In a weird twisted way it makes me feel that the story had more consequence. I don't particularly like when you have a big dramatic story and then everyone gets of scott free. It ju...

I love those kinda endings too. The "Come full circle" endings and the "Bolivian Army" endings.

Re: Languages!
Do artistic abilities count as a language? xD As long as you'll be able to communicate and express yourself with it, then I think it definitely counts as a language. If so then I definitely speak "mathematics". Well, if that is true than I don't speak ANY language most of the time :...

Wow, I feel strangely inadequate here, mastering only one language like I have. American English(My mother tongue, My father tongue too.) Japanese(Not fluently. I still need to build my vocabulary, although I am getting better. I've self studied for 5 years[Sort of. 5 years ago is about when I start...

Re: What is your favorite way for a VN to end?
I usually like happy endings. But my favorite endings wrap up everything. Whether it is happy or sad, I can't stand it if it leaves questions or cryptic details, unless it has a sequel. But the series must wrap everything up by the end, otherwise I will never be happy.(It took me a double digit numb...

Re: Do you play as same or opposite gender?
Well... I prefer if people play their own gender, because when I'm in a gaming world, I usually assume if they are male, they are male, if they are female, they are female. Am I strange? xD You aren't strange for wanting people to play as their gender when playing online. But you ARE strange for as...

Playing as a girl wouldn't give me that option.

Re: Animes you just can't stand
One thing I find interesting about most of the anime we can't stand... 1) too much filler text 2) never seems to end 3) poor execution 4) some combo of these So basically you are saying, "I've noticed that bad anime is bad." It's because if they don't have those what you listed, we can st...

Re: Tsunami's after Japan earthquake.
I'm not so worried about what the earthquake and tsunami did. I'm more worried about all those nuclear plants... I don't entirely trust the experts and what the people are saying. (Plus I'm the kinda guy who automatically thinks it's the worst case scenario. Like I always say "Hope for the best...

Re: Animes you just can't stand
Maybe they wanted you to feel how Yuki must of felt?
Well, at the very least they didn't use the exact same scenes for each episode. They changed the clothes the characters where wearing and did some different angles sometimes. That shows SOME effort on their part.
