Hello! I'm interested in hiring you as an artist for a project and potentially its sequels! I've sent an e-mail with further details.

Re: Adding Stats to Characters ... easily

Wow, fantastic! That's exactly what I needed, complete with different containers within the inventory itself. I'll have to update all 27 character definitions (I ... have a large cast ...) but it's not more than an hour's work. Is there any material way I could express my thanks? Do you have a ko-fi...

Re: Adding Stats to Characters ... easily

Hi! Could you please provide an example of how one would use one of the stats as an inventory, i.e.a dictionary of items and their amounts?

Re: Writing in 2nd Person?

I wrote two short IF/textgame pieces in second person before switching to first person for my current project. It was an interesting challenge, though my approach was to make the PC a concrete, established character that isn't easily malleable by player choice—the second person gave it a hallucinato...

Re: Adding Stats to Characters ... easily

Hey, I'm using this! It's great, definitely simplifies stat tracking.Thank you very much for this write-up <3 Also, I added a couple of methods and functions to enable calculating stat increases/decreases using inkle's fairmath stats system, which is a more balanced way of tracking story-relevant st...

Re: The Bitter Drop [Modern Fantasy][Dark][BxB]

I thought I'd add a few feedback prompts! There's a couple of things I'd like to know, for example if people want to see early builds w/out graphics. The feedback questions have been added to the OP!

misc. devlog stuff

Latest achievements in development: finished the GUI, with the exceptions of the Gallery menu (nothing to test it with, yet) and the Musicbox (don't have the assets yet) successfully changed the fonts to a more suitable typeface that is also free to use, package and distribute implemented a fairmath...

[suggestion] Ren'py and ink

I've been writing various kinds of interactive narrative for a couple of years now, and the two best tools I've come across are Ren'py and inkle's scripting language for narrative games, ink . They're quite similar in approach, intended as being simple enough to use without much programming knowledg...

Re: The Bitter Drop [BxB] [Fantasy] [Romance]

Hello everyone, this is the writer of this project! I've updated the OP with shiny new graphics and information. Keep an eye out for progress screenshots and character introductions soon! Anzu and Lev were the two characters in minor fall MAJOR LIFT , right? I liked that game, it'll be cool to see t...

Re: I Am Visual Novel Writer [PAID]

I made some small updates to clarify what kind of services I offer, added a way to contact me on Discord and also added one more sample—a CYOA text game that came 2nd in ECTOCOMP 2017 and was nominated for the XYZZYs in two categories. Currently free to take on projects of any length! Willing to wor...

EDIT: NEVER MIND MY PREVIOUS QUESTION

Will you announce when you're able to take commissions again? I'd love to commission you but obviously not when you don't have the time.

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

I don't know if I can wait until March for NaNoRenO so I might do the sister jam for projects already in progress? I want to start while I still have all this momentum.

Re: The Bitter Drop [BxB] [Fantasy] [Romance]

Thank you! I'm very glad you like it and I'm glad the tooltip feature is working out! A lot of people have commented on how nice/neat it is, which pleases me. I was originally going to do the art assets myself, but I'm not so sure on that right now. In any case, the text-only demo is the priority, f...

Re: The Bitter Drop [BxB] [Fantasy] [Romance]

Right, edited the OP so it's better-written and also incidentally a mirror of the OP I'm using for my TIGsource DevLog forum thread. Anyway, there's a small preview of a demo out and the actual demo's coming soon—exact release date depends on how fast I can write it.
