I haven't been able to repeat this using the tutorial. It seems to take about the same amount of time that 7.0 took. It's possible this can be improved, but my thinking is I'd rather work on this in the GL rewrite than holding 7.3.3 up for it, since it doesn't seem to be a regression. I understand....

It seems that imagemap are slowing down when hovered a little more than usual (although I may be wrong). Can be tested in a tutorial project.

I don't know about the speed of the text, but the size and other style elements are set with who_, what_ and window_ arguments:

Hmm, It's even more strange if the numbers are replaced with letters... (I've also tested in old versions, the same result.)

I would like to add that for the program to work correctly, the name of the file, folder, or directory must begin with a letter, not a number.

The transparent background will be black after the game is released. But if it is crucial, you can use this instead of «hide bg orange»:

Showing of the screen main() does not remove the last image (bg orange). The screen just overlaps it. For a better understanding of the problem, you can temporarily use a small image (for example, 200x200) instead of 'images/ bg black .jpg' file...
