Both names and looks can be an important part of the story too, depending on your story. ^^;

But for the most part, it's exploring the character's growth and/or lesson that I typically focus on.

For me, I write a paragraph of a general description of anything noteworthy about a character (past, aspirations, current difficulties, etc) and compile all those paragraphs into one notepad file. Opinion on Lemmasoft: Some of the games made here have interesting stories and it's nice to see how others work and progress on their projects. I think VNs are a rather neat form of (interactive) storytelling I'd like to try some time. Thanks for the tips and resources.
