Re: Share your sales/downloads stats!

Angel In The Dark was released on the 1st October, so it's been available for nearly 1 week now. https://s13.postimg.org/3t1si1xxj/Screen_Shot_2016_10_07_at_09_50_41.png In terms of exposure, I posted about AITD here on the lemmasoft forums (my strongest referral). I've also been pushing the game o...

Re: Short, horror game suggestions?

Don't worry about linking your own game. I did exactly that in the top post of the chain:) I'll be sure to give your game a look, I hope you'll take the time to look at mine!

Re: Short, horror game suggestions?

It doesn't necessarily have to be Ren'py based. Anything's fair game, but Ren'py games do tend to get over looked, so I'd love to include as many good ones as possible in the list!

Short, horror game suggestions?

Hi guys, I'm putting together a list of short, narrative driven horror games for people to play during the Halloween period. The list will be turned into an article which will be published on http://indiehaven.com/ , a site I regularly contribute to. It doesn't matter how unknown the game is (feel ...

Re: Looking for a general term to replace "daemon"?

Norse Mythology has a bunch of names you could use. Most are pretty tricky to pronounce though, but they're very underused. - A dís ("lady", plural dísir) is a ghost, spirit or deity associated with fate who can be both benevolent and antagonistic towards mortal people. - A fylgja (plural ...

Re: Angel In The Dark - Audio/text based [Horror] [HALLOWEEN

Just a quick update: The game is now available to vote for on Steam Greenlight. If you've got a spare minute, please take a look at the page, and if you like what you see, give the game a yes vote. It'd be so awesome if I could get my game onto Steam! http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetai...

Re: Angel In The Dark - Audio/text based [Horror] [HALLOWEEN

The writing is really good. But i didn't like how there is no diversity in the endings. Sure, there was 4 different creative ways to die, but they all carried the same message: nice guy gets killed by evil girl. The end . I don't necessary need a happy ending, but maybe a they both die ending? I do...

Re: Angel In The Dark - Audio/text based [Horror] [HALLOWEEN

Having just released Angel In The Dark, one thing that's dawned on me is that the minimalist art style of my game probably isn't going to be great for pulling in players. Narrative driven games (actually, every game genre under the sun) generally rely on their visuals to attract an audience. As this...

Re: How many audio layers can Ren'py handle without struggli

It's really a function of the computer underneath it, more than the engine. There isn't a fundamental limit, but eventually you run out of CPU to do all the decoding. Ahh, of course, that makes sense. The only issue that I have come across with running that many layers simultaneously is actually re...

How many audio layers can Ren'py handle without struggling?

Hi guys :) So, I'm currently working on Angel In The Dark, my first ever attempt at making a visual novel. I'm a composer and sound designer, so I came up with the (hopefully) novel idea of creating a story set entirely in pitch blackness. It's a visual novel, without visuals if you like . The idea ...
